Would this be good for a light blue 10-12 strand Dacron string

Would Violin bow rosin work as well ?

Violin rosin is very different in regards to texture compared to this wax, so I would not recommend it for an archery bow string. Also violin strings compared to archery bow strings are very different in material. But I have never used rosin on an archery bow string before, but I would careful using it as it might compromise the strings structure.
