GARDEN GROUND COVER PEGS-100 PACK
I purchased 200 of these pegs a short time ago ,they are the best deal I have come across even the diy stores will charge £3.29 for only a pack of 20. which equals £16.45. for that price I received 200 pegs larger than the shop item , and I have now ordered another 300. I need them to peg down a lot of mulch at a local farm where I am looking after 181 christmas trees . They arrived loose in a large box ,so no small packets to undo ,perfect . They are perfect for the job. Since this review I have ordered another 300 Pegs from this supplier , and they have worked perfectly they go through mulch mat without the need to place a hole in the mat first good quality , and I have ordered another 200. but you pay for quality and they are good value , more than likely I will need more pegs from this supplier and I will not hesitate , to place an order , since its annoying to run out of quality items and only have expensive rubbish I previously purchased from a well know diy store ,before I found this supplier on Amazon . I have purchased about a 1000 of these pegs , I have found with smaller ,more expensive pegs bought from a D.I.Y Store those were Rubbish , These are a lot better quality hard plastic , wear gardening gloves to push them through Mulch Mat , good price ,for a good quality product.

Good product,good price,excellent service.
Good strong product, well suited for the job in hand. Fixed the fabric sheeting better than my expectations. Overall very good value for money. Oh yes service. These were delivered well within the timel period given. As I had to complete the job within a few days I was hoping these arrived in time.. Delighted to report, arrival was well within time. Under the circumstances I think the 5 star rating is fully deserved.

good - but not indestructable
These are great value when you consider what you'd pay for 10 at a garden centre. They pretty much are what they say they are. The only little gem of info I can offer is to make sure you push them in without bending the shaft too much - because they'll snap in the middle if pushed too far. To my mind: that's just plastic for you. It has its benefits, and its drawbacks - just like any material. If you want absolute indestructibility - look elsewhere. My technique is to go as far as possible by hand and then gently apply a bit of foot pressure - making sure the peg is going in straight (I appreciate this sounds absurdly obvious ;O) I've used them all over my garden and much prefer them to steel varieties.

works well, sturdy pegs.
holds down my webbing securely. make sure you pick the right spot first time as the barbs on these will rip the webbing to shreds if you have to take it back out. a few taps of a normal hammer is all mine took - used 100 and so far after a couple months, none have lifted out.

Bend if hit anything solid
These would be good if the ground is soft. My garden is stony and unfortunately the pegs bend if they hit a stone. Otherwise a decent product. Fast delivery.

These have saved my back on the allotment
Very fast delivery. These were recommended by a friend and have proved a revelation in providing the weed cover base for our allotment (which was a wild mass of weeds when we inherited it). Easy to use and strong enough to hold down the matting in the recent stormy period. Have provided the perfect base for my raised beds and will make the maintenance of the site more about the crops and less about the weeds.

Professional tips for using them
These pegs are great for securing all types of weed suppression fabric, and this is from someone who has been using them for some years. However, these pegs are a real pain to get out once they are driven through your fabric and into the earth. As such I strongly suggest you push a screwdriver (or other tool) into the earth first to ensue the path of the peg is clear of obstacles like stones. As strong as the pegs are at holding down fabric, they will bend if you try and push them into the ground where there are stones. In other words, don’t just try and whack them in with a mallet thinking they will go through anything…they won’t and you’ll be one peg down. Once they are in you’ll find they hold the fabric in place without an issue. Don’t be too sparing with any type of peg. If you leave more than four feet between pegs you’ll find the fabric will naturally expand over time and you’ll have the edges lifting. Putting in pegs every three feet prevents this stretching being an issue. PROS: • Well up to holding down even the thickest of materials • Easy to use if you make a guide hole first. CON: • Difficult to get out once they pierce the fabric • Can easily bend if they hit a stone
