AKORD 12mm x 12m Water White Plumbers PTFE Thread Seal Tape Plumbing Joint, 12mm x 0.075mm

This is a rather strange review as I'm rating this product a 5 yet not entirely certain it is the sole fix. Let me give some context! I recently replaced the flush valve on my upstairs toilet. As is always the case, having removed the cistern and therefore removing the pipe leading to the inlet valve, it leaked like a crazy when putting it all back together. I'd tightened it as much I as was able, to no effect. I bought this tape on the theory it would stop the leaks. After it arrived and I removed the flexi-pipe from the inlet valve, I remembered I hadn't checked to see if a washer was present. One was not. Either disintegrated or lost the last time I replaced the flush valve, I don't know now. So, I wrapped a few lengths of this tape around the brass threads of the inlet valve, and stuck a new nylon waster into the flexi-pipe. I screwed the pipe back onto the valve with just my hands and turned on the water as a test. Not a single drop escaped. Now as I said, I don't know if this is solely to do with the tape, or just the washer, or both. But this is the first time I've had not a single drop escape just from hand turning. A week later and it's still fine (although I did give it a brief turn with a spanner just to be sure). All in all, very happy with this tape.

A few years back we bought a wall mounted flag pole and put it in the garage apex. We live in a pretty windy spot up in Yorkshire. After several weeks I came home to find the flag pole in three sections on the floor. I thought it was some kind of practical joke. I went back over the CCTV to find the wind had caught the flag wrapped it tight around the pole and then proceeded to wind the upper section of the pole with the top of the flag and the middle section with the bottom of the flag. It eventually separated the three section by untwisting it. Then bing a light came on and I decided to use the Tape to seal the screw end of each section. We’ve had some serious wind and it’s not moved a jot since. It did the job spot on. I have since used on a water pipe connector but that wasn’t as much fun as solving the flag problem.

bastano pochi giri (mi raccomando, da effettuare sempre nel verso della filettatura) per assicurare una buona tenuta ai tubi. rapporto prezzo/qualità eccellente
