It's a keyboard - but a very reliable and nice looking one...
Updated Oct 2024 - they've made it even better! Now you can connect to up to three different devices via Bluetooth. So now I can use the same one for my work device, home device and tablet. Plus the charging point is now USB-C. This is a great keyboard. I bought one for work back in 2016 and have just replaced it with a new one having used the original daily and lugged it about in my laptop bag. The battery is still going strong on the old one and you can see from my photo only minor wear on the key caps (top keyboard). Sadly the letters A-H finally started going just this week after 4 years heavy use and the odd splash of tea/coffee, so I replaced it with exactly the same. Numerous colleagues have admired the style and size over the years - it's great. It paired easily with my Lenovo Thinkpad on Windows 10 and 11. It has options to set it in Windows, Android and iOS modes which sorts out the function of keys like @ and " etc. The build is solid and the keys are a good size. Really easy to type on and has a similar feel to a laptop keyboard. The battery lasts ages too before needing a recharge. If you want something reliable and portable stop looking and just buy one of these...

Does not reliably connect to iPad Pro: updated - replacement works well
Keyboard is good size and keys are fine for the price. Rechargeable battery is convenient. The problem is that it does not reliably pair to my iPad Pro. It paired without problem the very first time, then later became really sluggish (a keypress would take several seconds to register). Only solved by powering both the iPad and the keyboard off and on again. I switch keyboard off when not using. When switched on again it will not reconnect automatically to iPad, and attempting to connect through the iPad bluetooth settings is unsuccessful. I have to power off and on the iPad and keyboard, then pair again through bluetooth settings. Most frustrating. Update 26 December 2021 The seller contacted me and offered a replacement keyboard as my first keyboard was under warranty. It arrived Christmas Eve, so I’ve only had it a couple of days but it works perfectly. Connected first time, and now connects automatically without any issues. Just what I was looking for. It has been consistently responsive - no issues with lag between key presses. For the money it is really is a very good keyboard. Easy to type on. Compact design but feels solid enough and the rechargeable battery is convenient. So Iupgrade to 5 stars - for quality, value for money and great customer service.

UPDATE Great Keyboard! Good Service (Formerly Faulty after return window - Seller was great)
UPDATE! See original review below and take all of the positives described. Seller responded and replaced the keyboard. Now it works as intended, I'm really pleased with the purchase. I have even waited a month or so since the replacement to ensure that the gremlins of the first have not reappeared. If I had received this fully-working keyboard originally, I would definitely be writing a 5 star review. Make sure you get a good one and this will definitely satisfy all of your requirements for a stylish, sturdy, lightweight yet full featured keyboard Sadly, there is no review category on Amazon for "Reliability" for which I would rate it 0. If I had rated it in its first week, 4.5 stars overall as it feels like a quality product from the start: well built, sturdy, satisfying key action and so comfortable to use. Furthermore, it was a doddle to connect* to my pc, my iPad and my android phone. It has all the features of a larger keyboard (save the numpad) that you could ever need packed on to a space-saving and portable footprint. Reading the above, this could have been my favourite ever keyboard to use IF it had only worked properly!! Initially I thought that it was a bit fickle on waking from its energy-saving hibernation mode, often needing re-connecting. However, this minor annoyance was only the start of it. As many other reviewers have mentioned, after only 2 months a fault developed where it would suddenly stop registering any keystrokes for 10-15 seconds then dump all of them in one go with numerous repeats and omissions. This issue is not confined to any specific keys, it occurs at random; sometimes recurring frequently and sometimes appearing not to have any issues at all. There is no identifiable source to this keyboard's problems and I have since replaced it with a different Bluetooth keyboard without experiencing any repeat of these issues. Disappointing, as my new Bluetooth keyboard has been 100% reliable but is nowhere near as comfortable and feels cheap and tacky by comparison. I could, nevertheless, type this review without wishing to throw the ARTECK keyboard out of the window in frustration....

A great keyboard that will also protect your health
In terms of use, size, value and weight, I love this keyboard. It’s been all over the world with me, and saves me from getting achey after a long day leaning over the keyboard. My doctor told me to put my laptop screen up at eye level, and to use a remote keyboard. This saves back issues, and I think everyone should do it. It’s also easily recharged, but the power seems to last forever. It’s compact, light and yet operates as a full size keyboard, too.

Excellent value for the price
I've been using this for about 2 weeks and I'm very happy with it. Pros: + It looks and feels high-quality, for an extremely reasonable price. I particularly like the chrome metal backing, which looks sleek and gives it rigidity. + Rechargeable battery which lasts for ages. I've only had it 2 weeks so I can't say how long a single charge provides, but I haven't needed to charge it yet. It comes with a mini-USB charging cable, in case you don't already have a million of them lying around your house. + The keys feel good, with a satisfying click when you press them. + No connection problems. I use it with MacOS and it connects in a fraction of a second as soon as I turn it on. + Super compact and slim. I generally prefer keyboards without num pads as I don't need to extend my arm too far to the right to move the mouse, so this size is perfect for me. + I like the slightly raised back, which means the keyboard is slightly angled when it rests on a table. + Small rubber pads on the back mean the keyboard does not slide around. + The copy/paste/cut, play/skip, volume and search keys are all quite useful. Cons: - No function lock, so you need to hold the fn key if you want to use the function keys. - I use MacOS and the order of the keys takes a bit of getting used to. The mappings are: win = command, ctrl = control (makes sense), alt = option, fn = fn (also makes sense). I kind of wish the alt key corresponded to command, as this would more closely match the layout on my Macbook. But I've mostly gotten used to it by now. For Windows users this shouldn't be a problem. Overall I think this is astoundingly good value and it exceeds my expectations. I did quite a lot of research before deciding on this and I'm very happy with my choice.

Works out of the box - high quality easy to use keyboard
Excellent keyboard - easy to set up. High build quality and nice typing action. Like the fact that no extra USB dongle is required so it doesn’t block up a USB port unnecessarily. Long charge life on the battery is really convenient Highly recommend.

UK keyboard configured for US ??
When connected to my Android tablet, the HB086 was configured by default to US layout (the £ key produced #). I wasted some some time, finding out that the configuration needs to be changed in Android Settings (Language & Input). Then it worked properly as a UK keyboard. This isn't mentioned in the instructions. Otherwise, it is an excellent keyboard with a good touch and a solid feel. It has handy keys and shortcuts for cutting, copying and pasting, which are otherwise fiddly in Android apps, There are several other function keys, one of which calls up Google search. Unlike other reviewers, I found the Escape key works OK (in Android). However the virtual keyboard or language switching keys did not work. The former would have been handy for flipping to an on-screen keypad to add foreign accents. Still, if you need to do this, you can use the keyboard icon at the bottom right of the screen to display a mini onscreen keypad, while you are still still using the physical keyboard. Pairing is quick and easy, without the need for a password, and unlike my previous £10 bluetooth keyboard, it does not go to sleep for an annoying 1/2 second after a pause in typing. It has a built-in rechargeable battery which charges up quickly with lights to show progress, but the instructions are unhelpful about replacing the battery: They only say that prising the case open "destroys separate keyboard battery from circuit board". Still that may not be a problem for some years. The Arteck costs 80 per cent more than the cheapest on the market, but so far it seems well worth the extra.

More suited to PC than Mac, but works well for most day to day purposes.
I needed a keyboard that I could use while I was running my MacBook Pro through a monitor and had the lid closed, while also wanting something that was a little more ergonomic than the one on the MacBook. I'd looked at keyboards like the Logitech K380 and my partner had an Anker one that worked OK, but this was one of the highest-rated ones on Amazon, so thought I'd give it a try - and it was a good price too. It seems well made, with a metal back to it, and the keys make a satisfying thunk when you tap on them. It was easy to set up too, and paired easily. The only real issue I've had has been with key layout. It doesn't mirror the MacBook's one, and in many ways is completely different (the '@' key for example on a MacBook is shift+2, but on this one, it's where it would be for a PC), and there's some confusion when you're trying to find keys you don't use that often. For the former, it's simply a matter of your finger memory finding the same key as you'd use on the Mac, but sometimes it can be a pain when you're trying to find the backslash, for example, and you have to go around the keyboard randomly striking keys to find out where it is. Alt and Command are switched, as are function and control, so you'll find yourself stopping typing and looking at the keyboard occasionally. For general day to day use, it's absolutely fine - reliable and well made. The battery life is excellent (I don't think I've charged it since buying it a few months ago) and it hasn't drained its charge even when I've forgotten to turn it off - which is great. If I wanted a Mac-specific keyboard, I'd probably have to buy the official Apple one which, at that price, isn't going to happen. If you can put up with the occasional annoyance and hunt for the right key, you won't do much better than this.

Not the product in the picture
Did not receive anything that remotely looked like the product in the picture. The package received was scratched and torn and the keyboard was dirty with stains and scratches all over it.

Great keyboards, not able to obtain tax invoice
The keyboards are great, good value, sturdy, easy to use etc. I purchased 19 on behalf of my workplace and the company were unable to provide a GST invoice for these products - when I asked for one, they supplied with me with an invoice with the wrong amount, shipping included (which was free) and only for 1 or 2 keyboards. When I tried again, I got the same response and eventually was told there was no invoice. No tax invoice came with the goods either. They also arrived 4 days late meaning they weren't able to be processed in the correct financial year.

After two months, ALT key fell off. Can't put it back on. BUT THE COMPANY MADE GOOD!
I bought this keyboard in January. After about two months, the ALT key to the right of the spacebar just fell off. I don't even recall pressing that key. It doesn't snap back on, and that's really annoying. They tell me it has a two year warranty, but I don't see a way of contacting them to remedy this. I'd be happy just to have the key fit back on, if there were some way of doing that. UPDATE TO 1-STAR REVIEW: Quite soon after I posted the review, Arteck contacted me to express concern over the failed ALT key, and to reiterate that their 2-year warranty covers this problem. They provided me an Amazon link that would send me an identical keyboard at no cost. I quickly received the new keyboard, and began to try it out. After several weeks of it working flawlessly, I'm happy with the turnout. For unrelated reasons, I did not review the keyboard again immediately, but I am pleased to do so now. This experience has put keyboards on my mind. It's hard to find a good keyboard these days. I have been touch typing since Grade 10; that's about 50 years. It is one of the best skills I have learned. Back then quality of key feel used to be a lot higher. Genuine IBM keyboards felt beautiful. I attribute the decline in keyboard quality to the introduction and importance of the mouse for controlling the screen and selecting commands. I see fewer people touch typing at computers as a result of the mouse, voice recognition software, and touch screens. I don't even know if typing is still taught in high school. We have to accept that the golden age of keyboards and their use has long gone. I remember fondly my Northgate keyboard on my 286 and 386 machines. Its demise was partly the result of newer machines lacking that large round keyboard connector. So much for progress. The search for a quality keyboard continues. And this brings us to Arteck's model. Unlike other accessory keyboards I have used, Artech's keyboard excels for several reasons. The metal frame gives it a solid, quality feel. It is longer than many other keyboards, so your fingers do not feel crowded. The Bluetooth connections made to my cellphone worked flawlessly. Most important, keyboard feel is quite pleasant, and most welcome after using other, cheapie, keyboards. Non typists won't understand this, so there's no point in explaining the connection you feel to a good keyboard. My experience with this product is all positive. It's an excellent keyboard at a good price. The company stands behind their products 100% and wanted me to be satisfied with its purchase and use. I am completely satisfied with this keyboard, and recommend it unreservedly.

SUPER, durable keyboard that's just perfect
I LOVE this keyboard!! Good User Manual, easy pairing. Perfect key size, spacing, depth of travel. Very quiet function lets me type notes while on calls. Quick response after sleep mode. This is the second one I've purchased. First one was 4.5 yrs old & going strong, but I got it too wet with disinfectant wipes. I use this keyboard cover, which is a near-perfect fit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075K5TXCL). Bought "Used-Mint" from Arteck and it was perfect condition.
