Ktn-Mini Katana Portable Guitar Amplifier, A Compact, Go-Anywhere Amp That Runs On Batteries - Rich, Full Sound

What a fantastic practice amp. I have it’s 50watt bigger brother and in comparison where quality of build and sound is concerned they are on a par. Obviously this doesn’t have massive amounts of effects on board, but it gives lovely clean tones, great dirty tones and excellent delay, there is a switch to select clean, crunch or brown, you then alter the settings using the volume, gain, bass, middle, treble, time and level controls. All of the settings are excellent and no matter what your preferred tone is, you will find it on this amp. There is an audio input to attach a microphone or allowing you to play a jam track, drum app track or favourite song to play along with from a phone or mp3 player, this input is totally unaffected by any of the controls on the amp, even the volume which is altered using the phone/mp3 players own controls. There is an output for headphones or recording device i.e. pc, laptop, voice recorder. It is light and compact and can be carried anywhere when used on batteries, 6x AA batteries required. I haven’t changed mine yet since purchasing this amp and it’s used daily.

Wow what a cracking little Amp the Boss KTN mini is. The output of sound belise the size of the little 7 watt amp. My 20 watt cube and 15 watt mini cube are Roland's, and a bit heavy to shift about. This lives up to the Roland name with knobs on. Works great with my Epiphone Sg 400 and Guild Acoustic along with my Taylor acoustic guitar. Really nice Amp. Decent price tag quality product despite being plastic a really good build quality. No problems in recommending this Five stars.👍🎛️

I got this for when I travel to plug my guitar into, & also to use as an Ipad speaker To say I was disappointed when I plugged in my guitar would be an understatement - Having watched some reviews online I was expecting to be blown away by the Katana Mini, but I was left thinking why have I just wasted my money when I've got a Blackstar 20w practice amp ? It was the next morning that the Katana Mini really showed me what its about I was up at stupid o'clock for work, had some time to kill, so plugged in again - Great tones across the 3 channels at low volumes, very responsive controls to the slightest tweaks, nice delay but you can get a useable reverb type effect from it - You can actually talk over the amp when its at full volume (might have to raise your voice a little though) This amp isn't trying to be anything, but a practice amp with great tones at low volumes I think for the price it should come with a power cable, but the 6 included batteries were an unexpected bonus ! Update - I gave up on this amp, okay for stringed instruments but completely unsuited to the harmonica or indeed vocals so I’m afraid I had to return it. No issues with returning it and a full refund was issued. Surprisingly loud for a little practice/small gig/busking amp ! Can’t say about battery life as I’ve not had it long enough and I tend to use it via a power supply anyway but sound is pretty good for both my electric acoustic ukulele and electric ukulele. Shame it only has one input as I would have liked to use it in conjunction with a harmonica but then after trying it today I don’t actually like the sound I’m getting that much via a bullet mike ! Of course time and fettling could prove me wrong because at time of writing I have only just unpacked it so can’t really do it justice ! Maybe I’ll come back at a later date, if it proves to be a compatible match for harmonica use and if so then so much the better. Anyway, for the money I think it’s worth a punt and I’m certainly not unhappy.

Having previously used/suffered a succession of 'toy' amps (Orange crush, mini Marshall stack, etc..) I'd been after a 'sofa amp' for ages. You know- when you want to noodle away when watching TV but don't want to bring anything bulky downstairs... So I'd decided on the Blackstar Fly or this. SO happy I chose this! Nothing wrong with the Blackstar Fly- it's a cracking little box. But the Katana mini is awesome! Once you get it dialled in properly (keep the treble below halfway) you'd swear you had a 'real' amp sitting there by the fireplace. All three channels are perfectly useable. The gain knob works very well with each, and combined with your guitars volume knob you can tailor pretty much any tone. Delay is a nice feature too, with time and level controls. (TIP - turn the time all the way down and the level up to get a half decent reverb!) Crunchy gain sounds are rewarding, as is the high gain 'Brown Sound' setting. If, like me, you are convinced your family/spouse/pets need to hear your version of that-bit-you-can-play-from-Eruption, then you have found your practice amp!

The Katana Mini is everything I was looking for in a practice amp. Firstly I am a huge fan of Boss products using the ME80 MFX pedal and having the Katana 50 as my main amp. But with a baby on the way I have had to relenquish my practice room for baby rockers and as such needed an alternative (and quieter) option. The Katana Mini does this. First the volume is great for such a small unit. The battery power is fantastic for being able to take from room to room or seat to seat. No wires bar the guitar cable makes things far easier. The quality of sound is outstanding too. Being able to get the quality of sound out of something this size is a dream and the cabinet voiced headphone jack is great too for late night practicing.

Quite impressed by the variety and quality of tones that it's possible to get out of this little thing, in fact I haven't plugged in my 1963 Watkins Dominator valve amp for months because to get these tones I need to have that all the way up to 11 with a Dirty Rat pedal, which is not always a good thing for the neighbours at 1am. Batteries lasted about 4 hours on max. Some have complained about the lack of mains adaptor, but I use my Boss pedals adaptor - since I'm not using the valve amp - and it works fine. I bought it for a project - I'm going to build a guitar, gut this mini amp and build it into the guitar for an integral portable rock n roll experience, but for now just enjoying the great tones at more social volumes. Great.

Había visto muy buenas críticas, y tienen razón. Solo lo he probado un poco, pero suena muy bien, tanto a pilas como enchufado (no noto diferencia). Ecualizador de bajos, medios y altos (raro en algo tan pequeño) y tres modos de amplificador. En Crunch y Brown mete ruido, pero nada horrible, lo esperable. El sonido limpio es muy limpio, y parece encajar bien los efectos a través de pedales. Si subes el gain llega a sonar bastante alto para lo pequeño que es. Devolví un Blackstar Fly 3 porque el ruido con su fuente de alimentación era horrible, con este no pasa usando la fuente recomendada de Boss.

Auch wenn das Gehäuse "nur" aus Kunststoff ist sieht der Amp super aus. Bei der Größe anders aucht kaum machbar. Alles greift sich wertig an und funktioniert. Die Kopfhörerbuchse ist an der Rückseite nicht optimal angebracht aber bei der Größe wahrscheinlich nicht anders machbar. Auf der Oberseite wäre mor die Buchse lieber gewesen. Der Sound ist der größe entsprechend gut. Ich nutze den brown Sound und der kleine macht für den Heimgebrauch ordentlich krach. Mit Kopfhörern ist er mir zu leise. Netzteil leider nicht inklusive. Aber durch Batteriebetrieb flexibel für Unterwegs und wahrscheinlich hat jeder Musiker ein 9V Netzteil irgendwo rum liegen. Aber das sind nur meine Empfindungen. Darum gebe ich trotzdem volle Punktzahl.

Utmärkt tränings-förstärkare. Mycket fint rent ljud men bra overdrive om det är det du är ute efter. Plus för inbyggt eko.
