WAY better than expected!
These are great! My 3 and 6 year old got them last year for Christmas. I loaded the music easily from a laptop. Be forewarned- not all c type chargers will charge these. Do not lose tolerance original tiny cords! I ended up having to buy another one to get the cord which was fine as having a backup isn't a bad thing. Which leads to how durable they are! They've taken a true beating and still hold up. One finally cracked the screen but surprisingly still functioned with limited visibility. It has a couple games, a recording function and my 6 year old had it figured out in no time. 3 year old needed help as expected. The volume is actually pretty impressive, as well.

My daughter loved it
The sound is amazing, the design is very cute and easy to carry. The quality is good and it has several options in its software. Once you connect it via bluetooth, the sound is perfectly transmitted. I would recommend this to any parent that wants to give a nice gift to their kid. It worths the value.

Updated: It Broke Again! (Former: You CAN Have More Than 3 Playlists...but it Breaks EASILY.)
Update: Welp, so much for that. We got her a Bluetooth speaker and no more issues for awhile. Until suddenly the battery started only charging 3/4 of the way full. No big deal, right? Well, tonight, I handed it to her with the 3/4 bars for bedtime. Twenty minutes later, the battery was dead. I plugged it in, but she really likes flipping through songs as she goes to sleep, so she's pretty frustrated as she doesn't understand why she can't have it with her like she always does. Time to find something better. Original Review: We got this mp3 player for our 2.5 year old for Christmas. She's pretty good about electronics and being careful with them. This mp3 player has a speaker, a headphone jack and Bluetooth. We didn't use the headphone jack, but did use both the built-in speaker and the Bluetooth. Technically, this device only has 3 playlists. However, you can very easily add more playlists by creating your own and just dumping the m3u files in root, though you can't get rid of the 3 default playlists--which are extremely tedious to setup. Either way, I set her up with 4 additional playlists that we used instead (I just lazily setup the playlist in Winamp then exported the resulting m3u so that I didn't have to tweak anything) with descriptive names that made it easier for my husband or I to help her pick out what she wanted. Unfortunately, a few weeks in, she came up for her mp3 player (it had been set on the desk), and we discovered the screen was like the image above. Resetting it didn't work. The odd thing was, it had been working beforehand, and no one had touched it between the time it was left sitting on the desk and the time it was picked up to be used. We figured that was just one of those bad luck things and sent off for a replacement (which was a very smooth process, thank you!). This one made it about a week before suffering the first fall of either of the players (the first one wasn't dropped at all)--a fall of about 3 feet from her bed. While the player functions perfectly with Bluetooth still, the speaker does not. We're guessing it got knocked loose. We're debating whether to open it up and see if the speaker can be reconnected (wouldn't be our first rodeo repairing something) or just accepting the speaker is a wash and getting her a Bluetooth speaker for her room (though that means she can't walk around and dance with it outside of her room...), but I'm a little disappointed that the speaker came dislodged/broken so easily. I've had Sony Walkmans pretty much since they started releasing mp3 players, and they've each been through some pretty significant wear and tear--rain, heat (Texas + forgetting it in the car) and more than a few drops (nerve damage in the wrist = things sometimes just fall out of the hand). I know this isn't a Sony product, so I can't really compare the two in terms of quality, but I did expect something built for kids to have better durability. All-in-all, it's a relatively cheap product for what you get, and the navigation is pretty simple for kids. If your kid isn't super into music and just wants to listen to kid songs or a few mp3s, you might be better off with one of the more typical music players (the ones shaped like a radio that usually have microphones) that are better built to withstand the occasional drop or fall. If you have an oddball kid who is into a wide range of music like ours, however, it's a pretty good buy; just wish it was a smidge more resilient because now I'M afraid that I'LL drop it and break it!

Not a great UI. Works fine.
I'm looking for something that provides a clean and easy UI for listening to songs for my child. Don't want games, radio, video. Just good UI for songs. This isn't that. If you're looking for those other things then this is inexpensive and works.

Great for kids
My 7 year old loves music and was using a kids camera to record music to listen to while playing in her room or outside. We decided to find an actual music player and this was perfect. It is kid friendly aesthetically as well as functionally. Unfortunately, she listened to it by the pool while visiting someone and it took a dip and got zapped. Would purchase again though and might soon.

Great starter music player for younger kids
My 6-year-old godson LOVES music! He always hijackes his mom and brother and sisters iPHones. He was so excited to get his OWN music player and gaming system! This was a HIT!

Il ne prend plus la charge mais le SAV a donné suite a mes demandes (même si un peu long au départ). Un accord a été trouvé.
