this worked
I used a blanket weed killer earlier in the year, but later the pond turned murky. I tried this. It didn't work quickly like the blanket weed killer but now the pond is crystal clear and I can see right to the bottom. It must have been the #blagdon that did it

Worked Perfectly for Me
I have a new wildlife pond that does not have any kind of pump or filter. After a few weeks the water was very murky brown and I couldn't really see the bottom. I found the product easy to use. I followed carefully the clear instructions for calculating the volume of water in the pond and therefore how much of the product I needed to apply. The water volume calculation could only be an estimate during to the irregular shape and depth of the pond, so if anything I decided to slightly underestimate the amount of product to apply. I mixed it with warm water in a bucket and decanted the mixture into a watering can fitted with a rose, then poured the mixture evenly over the pond surface. The water cleared gradually day by day until after a week it was as clear as could be expected. Now I can see everything at the bottom of the pond, so the product has been very effective, even during extremely hot weather. There is plenty left for any further dosage so I think it's good value for money .

Unfortunately didn’t work for us.
Made no difference to the colour of my pond water. Gave 3 doses over 6 days, no change.

I can see clearly now the murky water has gone
Great product, used it before and had no issues There are a few negative reviews on here stating it doesn't work or takes too long to clear so Ill try to expand on when it won't work and what it does The chemicals within this (mainly formaldehyde) bind together the very fine particles of detritus into larger clumps so your filter can catch them where previously they would pass straight through Will it remove muddy water? Chances are no, only a deep clean with a vac and large water changes will clear this, in fact cotton wool will do a better job in this case What is it is best at removing? Suspended algae and detritus floating in the water column. Do I need a pond filter? Yes, this chemical only binds the finer particles together in larger clumps, you still need a filter (50 microns or less) to catch the newly formed clumps Adding pre-rinsed cotton wool to the filter will also do this micron job How do I add it to the pond? I would suggest adding only the correct dosage as stated to the pond once a week, remember it's still formaldehyde, that's the chemical they use to preserve dead bodies Very very slowly add it to a moving water flow, preferably the point furthest from your filter The water will go a slightly cloudy white look, this is due to the chemical instantly binding the larger particles of muck which is why you can now see them How long will it remain in the water? Depending on your filter/pump flow rate I would expect 10x the volume of the pond / pump speed Eg. if a pond is 10,000 liters in size, multiply this by 10 = 100,000 and your pump is running at 20,000 liters per hour 100,000 ÷ 20,000 lph = 5 hours to clear Note* during the dosing cycle, ensure you keep checking the filter, if it is a 50 micron or finer, it will block quite quickly requiring regular cleaning of the filter, this is a must during the dosing cycle (A Micron is a millionth of a meter, So a 1,000 micron filer will have 1mm holes in it, 50 micron filter is, you guessed it, 0.05mm holes, the smaller the number the smaller the holes) I did shop around and even found it to be cheaper from Amazon than any local supplier which surprised me.

Worked perfectly
Worked a treat for my container pond, which had murky water due to the unwashed stones we’d added. The dose was easy to calculate and I sprinkled the solution over the pond surface using a watering can. Left it overnight and the pond water is so clear I can see right to the bottom now.

Very disappointed.
Not working for me , I bought it because my pond water is green, have applied 4 doses using a watering can to spread the treatment evenly in the pond. All that has happened in my pond is that the water is now brown and no longer green. I am very disappointed with the product Blagdon is usually a good bet. Also the dispenser does not work the plastic ball gets stuck and the treatment wont go into the measure as it is sucking in air. Would not but again.

Good stuff 👍
Use this most of the time along with barley straw in my pound works well. I also use in my aquarium but have to get the right dosage exactly or will kill fish, find its much better to use than most of the proper aquarium cleaners which are no good and way over priced will cloud up but that shows it's working within 24hrs water is really really clean when you empty filters use will see results for yourself but as said Got to get dosage right, I have a 200lt best if you know your literage in tank then you get the dosage right, if not have to do by size and that is harder to work out i did get it wrong at first now I don't and a bottle last a long time than others.

Not the product
The product itself is good! But I have ordered the Blagdon Green Away twice, and the seller has replaced my order with the Clear Pond, with no explanation. Guess I can't trust the seller! Beware.

Dieses Produkt hatte Null Wirkung ,das Wasser ist genau so trüb geblieben wie vorher.Außerdem wäre eine deutsche Gebrauchsanweisung, wie man bei anderen Artikeln kennt empfehlenswert.
