Does the job, just without much of a speed range
Edit - Been using it for several months now, and it's still working fine, so I feel it deserves to get an additional star - 4 instead of 3. It's still not going to get that elusive 5th star because of the lack of speed range. Bear this in mind when reading the original review below. It was cheap and feels reasonably sturdy, though it remains to be seen how long the motor will last with use. As highlighted by a number of reviewers, the speed control is a bit messed up, and that, for me, is where the stars are lost. Mixers I have used in the past have speed settings ranging from slow up to fast in gradual increments - this is useful when mixing as you can start with a slow speed when things are loose, powdery or sloppy and slowly build up the speed. This mixer has speeds ranging from fast up to slightly faster in *very* gradual increments, which almost always results in some part of the kitchen needing a wipe down. The speed control is also a little sensitive, with a slight touch sometimes causing it to turn off. On the whole, not overly impressed so far, but it does the job so not ready to give it an entirely negative rating - I may come back and adjust this review if it breaks or catches fire as some reviewers have said.

Simple, no-frills whisk that gets the job done
This is a handy little electric whisk that does exactly what it says on the tin. I mainly use it for making meringues and it handles them really well โ whips up nicely without any fuss. Itโs not packed with features, but if you just want something straightforward and reliable, this does the job. Tip: Great for light baking tasks like meringues, cream, or cake mixes, but if youโre doing heavier mixing regularly, you might want something more powerful. No frills, but dependable and easy to use.

Not fit for purpose
Don't waste your money. Started off with an easy job just creaming butter and sugar together as soon as it starts to combine it gets stuck to the blades and the motor slows down. It struggles so much to mix it starts to smell of burning as it can't turn the mixer blades round. Its actually completely unfit for purpose very disappointing.

No slow speed
Whilst it says the mixer has six speeds, in reality it is only about two- fast and super-fast. This means that there is no slow speed to start mixing, before increasing to whip. I find this really frustrating. My last hand mixer, a Phillips which I had for over thirty years, had just three speeds: slow to start off, medium and fast. I really miss the slow speed

Bought this item recently and have had it for less than 1 week. On the first use, there was a weird smell but it did the job and I assumed I had used it on the wrong speed, especially as it was new. I was making 12 queen cakes! I used it for the second time yesterday, again for a batch of 12 queen cakes and using on the lowest setting, it burned out halfway through mixing. Seems like very poor quality and not fit for it's basic purpose!
