Buy The Tower of the Swallow: Witcher 4 – Now a major Netflix show (The Witcher) by Sapkowski, Andrzej, French, David from desertcart's Fiction Books Store. Everyday low prices on a huge range of new releases and classic fiction. Review: So Good I've Read it Twice - I enjoyed this book so much that I've already read it twice since I got it back in May. I've never read a novel twice before, not even the previous Witcher books, so that's an indication of how much I enjoyed The Tower of the Swallow. Unlike the previous books this story is not told in chronological order and is told through a number of characters perspectives and that actually works extremely well and keeps the saga fresh and creative even though its the fourth book. This also has to be the funniest book of the saga as it made me laugh multiple times even during the second read. All of the characters are interesting, especially the people joining Geralt on his expedition, particularly, my favorite character of all the books, Milva. Now I can't wait to read Lady of the Lake and see how this truly fantastic saga ends. Review: Really great - The Witcher books is well written and they are full of characters. The Witcher books are are really great read.,

Good book, poor translation.
Overall it's a good book but the English translation is of a rather poor quality: - The book is full of literal translations from the Polish language which often makes you guess the intended meaning. - Lack of consistency: same words are translated differently in different parts of the book. - Some translations are simply incorrect and include very fundamental phrases which are warned against at schools. - Typos are quite common too.

Divergent threads come together in a multi-narrator epic!
One of the more complex entries in the saga, with tales narrated by different characters interwoven to form a grander narrative. Sapkowski certainly flexes his literary muscles here, and the translation too is sublime. Threads of the saga which had diverged previously are pulled together here, with Ciri and Yennefer in particular coming back to the fore by the end of the book. Some of the villains are especially prominent, too, and their characters are explored in considerable detail. This is also the first of the books which goes beyond what the Netflix series has dealt with, but I was pleased to find I could still picture the characters, the scenes and the action in vivid detail: a testament to the excellent fantasy-writing on display here. I'm equally excited and sad to be nearing the end of this saga, and I can't wait to find out how it ends!

Beautiful writing that makes you feel.
Some book series can really take your breath away, and The Witcher is one of those. Let me start off by saying that the translation of this book is almost perfect. It's as readable as any book written in English, and the translator has done a very good job with this. Do not be tempted to read fan translations. I've attempted both - and there's no comparison. The book itself is, in a word; gripping. I don't think I've ever been as emotionally invested in the characters within a book as I have with these. Of course, that may be exacerbated for me by the beauty of the game series, but even standalone these books hold their own easily. Sapkowski's writing really highlights relationships between the characters, and provides some serious emotional termoil along the way. You won't be sorry you picked up this series, it's absolutely breathtaking.

Beautifully written, uncompromisingly brutal, compelling and thought provoking.
A fantastic next chapter in the story of Geralt and Ciri, beautifully written, uncompromisingly brutal, and as compelling and thought provoking as is the usual with a Sapkowski novel. After having first read this book as a publicly translated pdf it's brilliant to finally have an official English translation. The book itself is of high quality, and has the same dimensions as the Sword of Destiny so its bigger than most books. It has nice thick pages, a sturdy spine, and high quality covers. It's a must buy for fans of the Witcher Saga, and is a superb penultimate novel that sets the scene for the grand finale, the Lady of the Lake.

I highly recommend the books as they are brilliant
I am a massive fan of the witcher game and books. I highly recommend the books as they are brilliant. I have all the available books and I'm looking forward to the next becoming available in March 2017. My only gripe with this product is the size of the book. I find the size preferable to the other books but the fact that it appears larger than the others in the series probably means they won't look good on a shelf.

Iam not bothering you of the content but with the order. The packing itself was very impressive for a book and the quality of the book is also so good that you feel bad to put a crease on it

I finished this book in 24 hrs. I don't know how. I simply couldn't put it down. I feel it much much more fast-paced than "Baptism of Fire". There are so many events, so many characters, timelines, but throughout the whole story all and everyone intertwine and merge into a meaningful whole. I loved it!

Amazing collection. I read all this books back in 1999. The story is amazing, moreover it has more details that you won’t see in the TV show. Books are made from good materials , you can feel the quality. Shipping was promised within 5 days , surprisingly I found all nicely packed books at my front door two days later after ordering. I am east European origin and I am glad that the story of the Witcher has captured hearts of North Americans. Over 20 years ago I felt in love with the white wolf, and now he has the power to make other to see him and love him as I do. Strongly recommend! White 🐺 💥!
