Excellent quality and flavour, especially if you don't have milk. I think probably better value that the tea-bags, as you can just put one teaspoon in one of the tea filters you can buy in a mug and wait 3 minute and you have very good, light and refreshing, tea.

I'm used to supermarket leaf Darjeeling so i was expecting something special but, surprisingly, this product is bland. Of course Hampstead beats tea bags for flavour, and it is organic, but i cannot recommend it.

Lovely tea, nice big leaves, full and founded flavour. You can make it less flavourful or stronger (I like subtler with no milk or sugar). Heat it up if it has gone cold - very little 'stewing' flavour. Above all no bitterness or shallowness of flavour experienced with tea bags or tea which looks like 'floor sweepings' as my granny would have said. And Fair Trade is obviously better, and really also a good price. (I cannot buy anything like this quality locally in my area of the South West)

Working from home during the COVID-19 lockdown, I treat myself to one good pot of darjeeling tea a day. I wanted a change from the better supermarket own brands and another leading brand. This is more expensive but worth it for the flavour. My only complaint: it says on the 100g packet that it makes 40 servings. However, unless you like really weak tea, there's no way you'll get 40 servings. I kept a record and got 21 servings from a single packet. Despite this, I will buy it again. You realise how good it is when you are in a hurry and make tea with a tea bag that's no where near as good.

My everyday tea. It's light not fully oxidised, so you'll see mostly black tea leaves, but also some green. This is a subtle Darjeeling, delicate flavour of grape, fresh with a good aroma, it's a conservative Darjeeling, the taste can vary depending on what the weather has been doing that season (for a more striking Darljeeling try Hampstead's First Flush or Lalani). Only brew for a minute if you don't like bitterness, the sort of water used will affect the taste too. I drink it black, but it's nice with a little dash of milk. Sadly, this no longer available on subscribe and save.

I love Tea. I've been drinking it for years, all the way back to when I was just a toddler. I've tried many different types, both in bag form and loose. I've had it with sugar and milk and I've had it without. It calms me and it relaxes me. Over the years, I've grown very accustomed to Darjeeling. I've made a point to try every type and variety there is. This tea, however, is NOT darjeeling. There is zero muscatel. If anything, it has a flavour profile similar to English Breakfast. It's also a lot darker, something you tend to get with a second flush Darjeeling. First flush should always be a lighter tone and flavour. If you want a good example of how Darjeeling should taste, try Vahdam or The Tea Makers of London. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent tasting tea and I bought the six packs for £15.30, which is disgustingly cheap for 600g of Loose Leaf Darjeeling. That's what made me suspect to begin with. The packaging was also different to what was advertised, not really a big issue there bit still worth noting. I'm not looking at getting into any sort of intense debate as to what tea should or shouldn't taste like. I'm just leaving my review and giving my own personal opinion. Take it or leave it with a pinch of salt.

It's not easy to find good quality fairtrade Darjeeling. This is pretty good though. Doesn't quite have that beautiful delicate elderflowery flavour that the best Darjeelings have, but the price is reasonable - I would buy it again.
