why is this $7+ at amazon.com but it is $2.18 at home depot? thats crazy!!

I live in a small town in Montana, 45 minutes from the Canadian border. The closest Home Depot is 1 1/2 hours away, Lowes 4 hours. After I check the few local stores, places like Amazon are my only option if I need something quickly and don't have time to keep checking my local lumber yard or hardware store. Sometimes their order won't come in for several weeks. I always try to shop local first, but I am not going to drive an hour and a half to pick something up and spend $60 in gas when Amazon with deliver it for $5. So thanks Amazon.

will this connect to the 4x25 flex drain (Flex-Drain 51110) or will I need to buy a coupler

Bought both 1= Flex-Drain ADP53202 and 2= Flex-Drain 52011 Flexible/Expandable Landscaping Drain Pipe, Solid, 4-Inch by 50-Feet and both connect very securely not any issue with connecting both of them together. I do not think you will have problem hooking up Flex drain 51110 to this gutter down spout adapter that you are asking about. GOODLUCK

Is this fitting airtight? Trying to stop sewer odor between down spout and 4" sch 40

You can use caulk to seal this. Use a thick wide bead and you should be able to "unstink" your fitting. Mark

will this work for a 3 inch drain pipe

It could depending on how you configure the connection and how tight you want the fit to be. A 3" pipe would fit INSIDE the connector with lots of room to spare, so if you are "on a downhill run" it might be just fine. Otherwise water, water everywhere.
