HYCC SH-2 Magnetic Stirrer with Analog Hot Plate (UK PLUG)

Bought this to homebrew my own steroids, better than doing it on the hob. Gives more hands free and making a monotonous job a bit more appealing. Works great and a good price.

Nice piece of kit and saves me a lot of work when mixing up my own vape liquid. Heats quickly and to a consistant temperature. It is runing for approx 4 hours at a time and is very silent when operating. It should be obviouse but given it is a HOT plate do not leave unattended for lengthy periods or in an area where children could touch it while in operation. The only reason for the loss of 1 star is i have used it probably around a dozen times for approx 4 hours at a time and on one occasion the spinning mechanism didnt activate. I didnt have to do anything except turn off the spin and turn it back on. Other than that it has worked flawlessly. Overall a great piece of kit for my needs.

Seemed like good quality, until I went to switch off the stirrer and burnt my hand. The heating dial was not switched on and yet the hotplate was extremely hot. Thought maybe just a faulty one so bought another one (same product, different label), only to have exactly the same issue.

Fast delivery. Used for a month now with no problems. Happy with purchase. Came with a two pin kettle type lead which was easily replaced by a three pin UK standard which worked. I got what i needed which is worth the feedback i've given. Thanks.

Gets hot, goes round, still working... it did let off a few suspect fumes on the first use which I suspect was just glue/dust etc burning off the heating element.

I love this ! It’s almost always on as I am using it for my electroforming and it never disappoints!

Works great except there's no temperature markings so You can boil everything in seconds it gets that hot...

I used it to stir essential oil (Ylang Ylang) and bring to evaporation temperature 0f 90 C , with thermometer stand that made this easy to do with an extra Thermometer.

Me ha sorprendido para bien, leí mucha crítica mala del producto y me hizo dudar, pero una vez probado me ha gustado bastante, es para lo que es... seguro que una paella no se puede hacer con el, pero para calentar pequeñas cantidades 200-400 ml va genial, en un vaso de precipitados bajo de 200cc 100 ml de agua de 10 a 100 ºC lo realiza en 14 minutos y lo evapora por completo en una hora aproximadamente. el agitador es muy funcional, por el precio la relación calidad la veo bien. El tiempo de entrega fue muy corto,

My Corning hotplate stirrer finally stopped working after nearly 20 years of use. I had an important project to complete and needed a replacement immediately, so I thought I'd buy something cheap and then order a new Corning Hotplate Stirrer. Well, color me surprised, because this store HYCC SH-2 is pretty freaking amazing! It holds on to the stir bar though a mason jar bottom, while stirring Klucel G at 3/4's of max speed (see photo). My Corning never even came close. The finish in the hotplate is rough, which I initially saw as a disadvantage compared to the smooth ceramic, but the slight grip is fantastic when you need to constantly take what your mixing off the plate to check consistentency, and then place it back on over-and-over. The plate heats up fast, and seems to be comparable to my Corning, but I use the heating much less often than stirring. It may not last 20 years, but at 1/20 of the price, with similar capabilities, I can't recommend this hotplate stirrer enough!
