Grimoire for the Green Witch: A Complete Book of Shadows (Green Witchcraft) (Green Witchcraft Series)

Initially I bought this as a gift for my friends birthday because he had mentioned wanting this book, but then I saw the amount of valuable information inside, and how helpful it would be in helping me research my Craft, and so I ended up getting one for myself. There is pretty much most of the information you’re going to need if you’re practicing as a Green Witch, or just a Witch in general as a lot of the information applies over all or can be adapted/personalised! It has definitions for everything, correspondences for everything, a ton of rituals, and a bunch of other reference material that I always come back to. This book is definitely a fantastic starting point as its not overwhelming either. Sometimes books can be so dense with information they feel overwhelming, but this is very easy to read through and I rarely ever felt overwhelmed whilst reading through!

References for many aspects of living ranging from Mindfulness to Healing. Purchased on the spur of the moment for some fun and also to check out any info or updates I may not have at my fingertips. The book is light and easy to hold for those nights when sleep is evasive. Do not personally give credance to the tern "shadows" and see this content as helpful useful and positive. So thank you Ann Moura for compiling a book which is easy to read with some useful tips for remaining protected and healthy.

This book has everything you need to know about the craft and the rules, I have to say I had no idea that the Christians stole our original Yule carols which i found interesting as well as disturbing. I can't stop reading it so many facts about Wicca and what to do and not to do so if you want to know the real yule songs and the real history and facts about Wicca then this has it all.

Regardless of some of the negative reviews I have seen written about this book. I think, as a non-Wiccan just muckin' about with Wicca for the first time, this little handbook falls into the category of what I would call, "Witchcraft for idiots," but in a very nice way. The first Yuletide Carrol really made me smile, so much so, I had to take my pipe out of my mouth to chuckle. Because I don't now know if this version of, "Come All Ye Faithful," is the original one, hijacked by the Church, or a humorous, yet very appropriate, meaningful spin on the Christian religious nursery rhyme. The bits you don't immediately need are pecked away very neatly in their own sections. It's as good as a quick-start manual as it is an in--depth reference. But sadly, as with most theologically based literature, it is certainly not recommended for the, "We are right and you are wrong," brigade.

I bought this book out of curiosity and on that front - I am happy. It has a lot of information that anyone wanting to know more on this topic and its thorough. The only reason I didn't give it all the stars was simply because I expected something with a little more history or explanation/guidance. All the stuff is there, but if you know absolutely nothing - it seems a bit daunting - like a big encylopedia. So that is more about what I was looking for - rather than a point about the book Its easy to see how its been designed and a lot of care has gone into making it as complete as possible with all the initial basics plus pragmatic and hands on instructions for work. I am very glad I bought it because its like a reference boo that I can dip into in several different ways.

Love this book would have liked a bit more room to write in but great info came early

This is a book for those who walk a solitary path, or those who, like myself, have a family following the craft. I have had this book for a time, I find it a useful reference guide, and bought this copy for my daughter who has just left home and has her own altar to tend now. I have practised for 25 years, and this book is perfect for just turning to when you need a helping hand.

This is such a good witchy book. It has really good reference points that I find myself using such a lot. Although I have my own Book of Shadows this is a lovely accompaniment to it and goes well with the rest of my collection. Thank you 😊

I love Ann moura. I have been following her since I first started my journey into the craft. I have almost all her books. This is actually the second one of this book I bought my first one got really old etc. anyway this witch is amazing just like the witch writing this review and the witches reading this. This grimoire is everything I have been looking for in a book of shadows ! It is perfect. There is everything from herbs, to runes, spells, symbols, hand reading, card reading... I really recommend it for young/new witches, or curious minds. It is very complete and easy to read. Thank you Ann Moura for this !
