Bit small in my big hands but overall nice unit.
Had this for a few months now, I use it with my Macbook Pro at times when I am at home or going to be using the laptop quite a bit. I have a preference to have a mouse on hand. I am so used to using gestures on the trackpad that I chose this so I could continue using them. Let me start with the only gripe, it's small and I have big hands, no it's not tiny but for my hands it does get lost a bit. It does not make it any less useful, It just takes a little bit of getting used to, swiping left or right for example sometimes fails because my finger pressure is too far forward. But overall it's not for constant use and a few months in I am fine with it. I turn it off between use as it's not required constantly, 6 weeks are required between charges for me. On the week I did use it constantly I still turned it off at night and it lasted the week without issue and little discharge. The inconvenience is that you need to plug it in to charge and the port is on the underside, so when charging it cannot be used. The charge time is not long, 10 minutes is plenty to get hours out of it. Heard a lot of complaints about the charging however it does not take long to charge and you can see on screen what charge it has left so yes it's a pain but the long charge life and the fact you can see when it needs charged means you can plan in some time to plug it in. I don't see this as a downside, it just requires a bit of planning. I know right, it's a hard life! I would like to be able to get the charge % on the top bar beside the laptop battery indicator rather than having to click the Bluetooth icon, maybe that is possible and I just didn't see it. In terms of operation it's great, all the gestures are there, it's smooth and despite the initially odd looking rails on the bottom is glides really well on all surfaces. Connection is great, never had any issues with the Bluetooth connection, even when I forget to switch it on it's ready to go in the time I turn it on and flip it back over. Not cheap however if you want gestures and wireless this is the way to go, in honesty if gestures are not a big thing and you just need a functional mouse there are plenty cheaper options to choose from.

Apple Quality and Design
At first the mouse felt small but I soon got used to it. there are no buttons and no scroll wheel. the whole top shell tilts to make left or right clicks and the top surface is touch screen for scrolling and moving between open windows. A double tap opens Mission control on the Mac. It pairs easily using the charging cable. A note here, mine came with a USB A cable. it's the latest model mouse but obviously not the latest batch because they now come direct from Apple with a USB C cable to match the latest Mac and MacBook. I already had an adaptor so I could pair straight away but it's a point if you have a new Mac. Once paired it connects automatically, no need to choose it in Bluetooth. You can disable the trackpad or keep both in operation. Charge last for a very longtime; mine is still on 74% after a month. There are no charge indicators but you can check it easily in System Preferences or the Bluetooth menu on the Mac It's light and comfortable to use. It tracks consistently over any surface, including the leg of my jeans. It's expensive, but then - it's Apple and trying to explain Apple to a non fan is like trying to explain jazz. if you're an Apple fan - get one.

The best mouse for OS X and a worthwhile upgrade
I have been using the original Apple Magic Mouse ever since it was first released. As much as I loved the design and the ability to use gestures in Mac OS X, I would often find the batteries had run out when I went to use it. Thus when the Magic Mouse 2 was released, I was drawn in by the feature of a built-in rechargeable battery. The cost of upgrading was a bit steep for such a simple feature but nevertheless I took the plunge. Upon receiving the Magic Mouse 2, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mouse is much lighter, better balanced and glides far smoother than its predecessor. Also the battery charges faster and lasts longer, which is a big bonus. The only criticism I have is that the lightening port for charging is located on the underside, resulting in you having to balance the mouse on its side while plugged in...fortunately you don't need to do this very often. All in all I am very pleased with the Magic Mouse 2 and, although expensive, consider it to be a worthwhile upgrade over the original Magic Mouse.

Great mouse, battery last forever! worth the money
I really like the Magic Mouse 2, it feels great under my hand, it adds a lot of control that cannot be accessed using the touch pad and the box it comes in is very portable so no need to buy a new case for it. One fault I can find is that my fingers don't slide across it perfectly all the time so it can be a pain to use. Another is the charging port on the bottom of the mouse. Its very peculiar as to why they thought this would be a good idea, but it doesn't really affect me as it doesn't take long to charge and maintains the charge for a very long time so it also wouldn't matter if I forgot to charge it for a few months. And yes, you read that right. Months. I have had it well over a month and haven't fully charged it since I got it and it is still on 77% and I have been using it almost every day for a variety of different tasks. The connection is also very good; I have had no lag or any problems.

Never used apple mouse before. I was expecting touch or silent one. Felt it was bit noisy. Product itself is great

Windows.
