Please find a 5 year child. They are good at getting into most things and should be able to handle the job for you.

Are these reliable batteries for use in smoke alarms?

Sometimes you've got to trust something ! I bought a box, have 3 smoke alarms, test them monthly, and change them annually. No problems - but I've never had a battery fail over the cycle.
