You Gotta Know1990s is a trivia game featuring 125 cards with 500 questions covering various aspects of the 1990s, including movies, music, and culture. The game is designed for easy play with a 'Race to 21' format and comes in a stylish metal tin, making it a perfect gift for nostalgia lovers.

Fun, nothing unexpected, and 80% exclusively pop culture
Tried this for the first time with 4 total players. The instructions donโt offer a recommended # of players, but you can play it with any number (two or more). The game is over when a player scores 21 points; for our group it took about 30 minutes. For reference, at the start of the decade, on Jan. 1, 1990, the ages of our players would have been 10, 15, 28, and 42. So all of us โlivedโ the 90s. The game box reads: โThe Ultimate Trivia Game (For Anyone that Experienced the 90s)โโฆ.While I wasnโt expecting a Trivial Pursuit level of super challenging questions, the listing does state the game covers โMovies, music, fashion, culture, TV, politics, sports, personalities, and more!โ Andโฆ not really. The overwhelming majority of the questions cover popular music, tv and film... with only the scantest of sports, then-current events and politics. And the questions arenโt terribly challenging or ever phrased in a tricky way. This could be a good thing, depending on your wheelhouse. But there were some grumbles in my group due to lack of more varied categories. And if you werenโt exclusively following mainstream culture (e.g. โFriendsโ, blockbuster films, Top 40 pop), and you were more, oh, I hate use this term, but โalternativeโโlike me and my husband were back then and still areโthereโs not many curveballs here, itโs all conventional stuff. Nothing wrong with that! Just saying. The game consists only of cards. They come packed in a small, high quality metal box and all the instructions you need for game play are printed directly onto it. The cards shuffle well and are decently thick and nicely coated, they shouldnโt quickly dog ear. You donโt need a score sheet; the point value won for each right answer is printed right on the back of each card. Note thereโs only 500 questions over 125 cards, which may sound like a lot but youโd be surprised how quickly you run through them.I canโt say I have any real complaints with the overall quality of the game and its very simple instructions. And the price point seems on par. I was just hoping for more oddball questions here and there. No shocker, but I doubt it would much fun for young peopleโ even the kids who are really into 90s nostalgia trendsโor for anyone who wants some mildly difficult politics, events, or sports questions. My mom, now in her 70s, wasnโt particularly connected to the pop culture of this decade and so she struggled too. But we all had fun, though itโs the sort of game you have to be in the mood for (and maybe some cocktails would help). Hubby and I plan to modify the rules and only score a point if we answer all 4 questions on a single card. It would also be good for long car/train trip. Ultimately a lighthearted trivia game with broad appeal.

Great for the trivia lover
My husband and I were born in the 80s so were kids in the 90s. And my husband loves trivia, so we got this set of trivia cards for him for his birthday. There is a suggestion for playing a game with the cards, but we just like reading the questions to each other while driving or during other free time. The questions are nothing terribly stimulating; they're fun enough, but I'm not sure it's worth $25.

Fun questions and brings back memories!
This game really makes you dig deep into your memory lol. It's got a lot of fun questions and it's great to play with a group of friends. There are a lot of cards so you can get several uses out of this game before going through all of them. The tin box that it comes in is also very nice and sturdy. Would recommend!

So many questions!
This is a basic trivia game- picture cards with questions and upside-down answers, but that's exactly what I expected. I'm excited to play it with family members to see how much we remember about the decades we grew up in. There are SO MANY QUESTIONS in this pack, you're not going to run out any time soon!

I thought it was fun but description isn't accurate
This is definitely a game for people who were complete adults (like mid 30's-40's) in the 90's because the questions were funny but in a room of people ages 30-70 only the people ages 49-70 knew any of the answers or even remotely knew or had heard of the shows/movies/singers/athletes/teams that the questions were asking about
