Dr. Beckmann Carpet Stain Remover, Works in 3 min, 650ml

Revealed a murky and very moody stain on our new silver/grey carpet caused by my son leaving his camping bag on the floor for three weeks. Potatoes (yes, potatoes) had rotted in the bag and turned into goo and seeped through the bag ruining the carpet in a very prominent place in the room. We have access to a VAX cleaner and attempted to lift the stain using both their own brand Spot Remover and General Detergent. Three attempts over a number of days lifted a lot of the stain but left an awful trace that just wouldn’t shift. Researched multiple review platforms (including Amazon) to establish if there was a better or alternative option for hardened stains and kept seeing this product pop up with 8, 9 or 10/10 scores. Especially surprising as it is cheaper than almost every other products by a country mile! Followed the instructions but instead of lifting the solution as described, we used the VAX with water only to rinse it then to lift the residue. After two applications, the shadow stain has gone - completely!! We will be giving it another going over in a few days to be completely sure but this product is remarkable. It has a soft chemical but very pleasant odour to it which is a great feature as the pungent about from the rotten potatoes has also gone. The carpet does not appear to have been affected negatively in any way and so far, we cannot see any noticeable discolouration which is always a bonus. Ignore the expensive options, try this - if it can lift three week old potato goo smoked into a silver carpet I bet it can handle most things!

I honestly didn't think our living room carpet would recover after a series of spills (coffee, red wine, and even a muddy footprint from the dog). Then I tried Dr. Beckmann Carpet Stain Remover, and I'm amazed. This stuff really works. The built-in brush applicator is genius – you just squeeze the gel directly onto the stain, give it a gentle scrub, and blot with a cloth. Within minutes, the stain started visibly lifting. After it dried, the marks were completely gone, with no fading or residue left behind. I didn't even need a carpet cleaner machine. It's also surprisingly gentle. There were no harsh chemical fumes, and it didn't bleach or damage the carpet fibres. The stain didn't spread or turn into a bigger mess like with some other products – Dr. Beckmann targets exactly where you apply it. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts for multiple accidents (essential in a busy household). It works beautifully on upholstery too – I used it on a fabric chair with equal success. For anyone tired of stubborn carpet stains that won't budge, do yourself a favour and buy this. Effective, easy to use, and genuinely stress-relieving. Highly, highly recommended!

This stain remover is very effective. I had a few long-standing blotches in my carpet and I've managed to get rid of all of them using this product, even ones that have been there for a few weeks or months! I found it very easy to use and the mix of the cream and the brush makes for easy application and excellent stain removal. It made my carpet fresh and clean. It got the stains out very quickly with the fair minimum of effort, so I'm impressed with the speed of this. I didn't notice any scent to it when using or any lingering odours which is a plus for me. I went through the bottle quite quickly and I did unfortunately find the durability of the brush itself to be a bit mediocre, but overall I was happy with this product. It's a cheap and effective way to get even long-term, hard worn stains out of carpet, so it does what it says on the bottle!

Love this product it really did clean my mats in my car with not alot of effort needed on my part either, smells good and does a great job . Love it . I would highly reccomend it

I kept this item for a few months before I made a review, so I could make an accurate one, after using this product on a couple of different carpets around the house. I first bought this item when I moved into a rented property, and knocked 2 cups of tea onto the light grey carpet. It sounds like I was being an absolute lazy slob, but it was the only thing that I could consume for two days because I had a migraine that kept me off of my feet for days and I didn’t have the energy or disposition to clean it up, then and there. When the fog lifted, I panicked and I bought several types of carpet cleaner. I scrubbed the floor for 30 minutes at a time for days. Nothing was shifting. I was really panicking. The Dr. Beckmann Carpet Stain Remover was the last thing that I tried. I’ll admit, because it was so reasonably priced I didn’t think that it would make a difference. I have been absolutely blown away by how good this item is. Not only did it remove the tea stains, which are so difficult to remove, but it has removed Sriracha, curry, and red wine - all which occurred during a party. Yes, guests are an absolute pain sometimes, but this stuff is the panacea. When I tell you that I don’t even worry anymore when I spill something on the carpet or on the sofa, I’m not kidding. I wish I was being paid by this company because I would make the best spokesperson. I am in love with this item. It removes everything. If I can just give anyone that’s thinking of buying this item a tip, because I found the instructions not very useful: the instructions tell you to leave it and then wipe it off with a damp cloth - DONT. Leave it. Especially if it’s a very deeply ingrained stain. The trick is to not soak the carpet. Give the bottle a gentle squeeze and then scrub the brush into the carpet. Then leave it to dry on its own and the stain will disappear completely. I’ve used this stain remover on a light grey carpet, on a light blue eggshell carpet, I’ve used it on a brand-new light green sofa - I have never seen any discolouration from leaving it to dry naturally. It works much better if you leave it overnight. You could also do a second application on stains that are deeply ingrained into carpets; as I had to do with my tea stain. Third time was the charm and you can’t even tell that that carpet had any tea spilled onto it. It dries very quickly, it leaves a lovely scent , and it does not make the carpet hard or crusty after application, it’s very soft. So if you’re in a pickle and you’ve messed up your own or somebody else’s carpet, grab yourself a bottle of this. 10/10. Wouldn’t buy anything else.

An excellent carpet cleaning product, it exceeded all my expectations, did a great job with food stains and dirt on the carpet. It's my favorite now.

Wonderful product at a great price. I would never again want to be without it. It is quick & easy to use & has never failed to shift the stain. I have also used it to clean a fabric-covered footstool & it was equally as effective. Highly recommended.

The solution works very well and actually makes light work of a lot of spillages. For all intents and purposes it's excellent. I just hate that the applicator is attached to the bottle and gets bugged up with hair after one use. You have to cart around a hairy bottle after that. I will say that the brush is also good quality but I would prefer a set tat came with it independently so I could clean the brush out after use. It's a shame because this is otherwise a very impressive carpet cleaner.
