I have had my toaster for 3 months and now it.no longer works. I know have to keep holding down the lever to try to make it toaster. Really disappointing and sad for me

Let me start off by saying that it was the retro aesthetic that reeled me in. It screams fun and happiness. Who knew an appliance could brighten my day? Sadly, I’m disappointed by the performance so far. I’ve used it about 5 times (with the same bread type) and each time ended up with an uneven toast. Perhaps, it works better on slightly thicker bread slices? Initially, I was inclined to give the toaster a 3-star rating based on performance issues but felt it would be unfair considering I haven’t yet put other bread types to the test. Plus, did I mention how cute it is? 😀

I purchased this toaster, but I did not like it. It’s pretty to look at. It has very small slots for the bread. It will only fit a normal piece of regular white bread nothing else no bagels no long bread nothing like that. I bought a new one since then and sold this one.

There is no lying, the toaster is aesthetically pleasing and looked great in our white kitchen, but that’s the extent of it. Besides looking pretty, the toaster is useless. I ignored any negative reviews I read, because I know people can be extremely picky. I thought “how bad can it be.” But after a few days both my 11 and 12 year old asked me to replace it. The quality seems similar to my daughter’s Pottery Barn toy toaster. It feels cheap compared to the Cuisinart it replaced. But we stuck with it for 2 months because it’s pretty and I wanted to like it. The width and depth of the slots are pretty bad. Not only did I have to use my weight to flatten our bagels before putting them in, but even regular bread was getting stuck. The slots are so slim and the wiring so close to the bread that it would start to burn quickly. For every use we had gotten in the habit of unplugging it and then getting a fork to pry out the toast or bagel. There are also no numbers on the knob so if someone turned up the heat prior to your use, there was no way of knowing. It’s in the donation bin now. I feel bad that I’m passing my junk to someone else, but maybe they won’t mind all the trouble. I ended up replacing it with a Rae Dunn toaster. I don’t think the Rae Dunn is as pretty as this one, but it’s worked great and gets the job done perfectly. I wouldn’t recommend this toaster. Toasting bread shouldn’t require so much effort.

I loved the colour / style of this toaster, but unfortunately it was just way too small. The openings didn't allow for anything other than a pretty thin slice of bread - so bagels, buns, anything like that is out of the question. A toaster that can only toast small pieces of bread is kind of useless as a toaster.

Love the colour and retro look. But the slots are so thin I can't even toast the top side of a bagel, just the bottom flat piece fits and that just makes it in with no room to spare. Missed the return window as I didn't open it until a few weeks after I bought it :( so stuck with it now.
