Giovanni Direct Leave In Treatment Conditioner, 8.5 oz

Following many, many youtube 'natural hair' vids I thought I'd try this leave-in conditioner and I'm happy I did so I want to add my 'rave'. It leaves my hair completely moisturised and feeling softer and conditioned and I would definitely recommend it especially when you are rocking a TWA, there are so many good things about this product - it has no SLS or any cones, has a fresh & pleasant smell and although it is very light in texture it still packs a punch. I have to repeat myself it definitely leaves your hair moisturised and softer and feeling hydrated, and it does so for the whole day - great buy, definitely get it

I've been using hair products by this brand for over 2 years now. Absolutely love them. Smells nice, not a strong smell. Texture is like a cream. Wash your hair, dry with a towel and apply the leave-in conditioner. Then evenly spread it with a comb. Hair is soft and looks good. Would definitely recommend.

I have a mix of 1c and 2a hair and not a lot of it, so not thick hair, which can be tricky to style. It’s prone to frizz and flyaways, and I’ve always used rinse out conditioners but find they can’t control my hair and make it sleeker after my hair has dried - and that’s even if I used a hairdryer to style it straight. I’ve tried to think of so many ways to fix this problem. Hair oils weigh my hair down and make it look stringy and greasy after a day, so nope. I have used a bit of Vaseline to sleek down frizzy areas but that’s not ideal because Vaseline has a tendency to also make hair look greasy. I thought of using a hair pomade but I suspect it would do the same. This conditioner seems to do the job of both a rinse out conditioner and a hair grease/oil/Vaseline in one, but without the obvious tackiness and oiliness. When I put it on the mid to ends of my hair, it makes my hair look much sleeker yet not in an oily or greasy way. It makes my hair have more structure/texture to it. I also think it kind of saves me a bit of time as I used to have to spend 10 to 15 mins rinsing out conditioner from my hair. I took one star off for how this product feels quite gunky and greasy when you apply it to the hair. It leaves a film of grease on my hands and the comb I use to comb it through my hair, which I then have to wash off in the sink using Fairy Liquid because any normal gentle handwash just won’t get this film of grease off. I have to blow dry my hair to stop my hair feeling like it has a layer of grease on it. But funny enough, after my hair is dry, it doesn’t look or feel greasy. It feels like it has some sort of product on it that thickens the hair and controls the frizz though. So in short, I’m a fan of how it makes my hair look and behave after blow drying it, but I’m not a fan of the greasy texture of this product when you first apply it. But it works. Strangely enough. It feels like it gets absorbed into the hair and does its job. Price is reasonable as well. It’s something I would continue using as it saves me time in the shower and also cuts down an extra styling step for me in the morning with using some kind of oil or greasy product to smooth my hair down.

Decided to write a customer review and only ever do this if i think a product is great. And this is simply amazing. I'm so fussy I do my hair myself, tailor made and homemade treatments which give me the results I desire. And in all my years, this (and Neal's Yard Nurturing Rose Shampoo) are the ultimate hair treats. I find myself wondering how one product can do what this does. Makes my hair soooo soft and silky smooth, And it definitely makes my hair less prone to breakage because since my bottle finished my hair has been breaking to no end whereas before it barely did (which was a relief since my hair breaks all the time). Can't wait to have this delivered. It's my ultimate hairsaver! Honestly, I can't do it justice with words, I can find no fault- you need to try it and you'll see just what I mean. Easy to apply but not for me. Left my hair feeling tacky afterwards. Will stick to my original leave in conditioner. On the plus side it does have a pleasant smell with no parabens or dyes added

I've struggled to find a conditoner that works well for my hair. My hair isn't curly, it's straight but it curls towards the end and this works perfect in maintaining that curl. A little goes a lot way and my hair feels so much better after using it. Finally found a conditoner I think I'll stick with !

Leaves my 4C hair soft and fluffy. Highly recommend for Afro hair. A great leave in conditioner that I should have bought ages ago. Not too heavy, light enough to still keep the hair soft and moisturised. Lovely scent, not too overpowering. A great buy and will become a staple in my hair regime 👍🏽

I have been wanting to try this product since i started CGM, just received it the other day and instantly tried it. I like how the texture of it is light and creamy. It has no obvious smell. But it does takes long time to air dry. However! My curls looks well defined after using it and not dry at all even after I sleep! If you have curly hair you must try this product. I would totally recommend this product to a friend.

I really, really didn't like the texture of this. Tbh I only used it once after seeing the texture bc it made me worried about build up. It's really thick and gooey and didnt really hydrate my hair as much as I would like.

I absolutely love this leave-in conditioner and my girlfriend does too! I'm a dude who used to style my hair with hair wax when it was shorter. Now that I'm growing my hair out, like really out, I needed something a lot lighter, something to help my thick curls which tend to dry out and get frizzy. My girlfriend has somewhat thinner, wavy hair and she loves this stuff too, her hair is shoulder length and very dark brown and it gives it a nice shine without weighing it down or making it look greasy. This stuff is amazing. The smell is gentle and natural, I usually forget it's scented because it's very light (this is a good thing to me). I use this stuff after every shower, pat some of the water out of my hair and liberally apply, because my thick, curly hair gets dried out very easily. Then I wait a while because my hair is getting longer, but once it air dries on its own, I run my fingers through and fluff it up. The conditioner has light hold and light shine so my hair looks really natural, feels super soft, and is hydrated. I've also been known to just rinse my hair in the sink to get rid of some bedhead, and I'll reapply this conditioner after that to the same results. I use this as my daily styling product because I like the loose, natural look of the light hold. If you wash your hair every day DEFINITELY use this to out some moisture back. If you don't wash your hair every day like me because your hair gets dried out too easily, the softness of this product is lasting. I get bedhead but my hair is still soft! Also it seems like I'm using a lot of the product when I apply it but the tube lasted me for far longer than I expected. It's a good size.
