Perfect for stopping hair clogging the bath tub
Perfect fit for the bath. Great value for money and catches hair well.

Grabs those hairs
Been using this for a while now in the bath which includes the shower. I ordered the small which sits in the general groove of the plughole and on top of the silver plughole surround but it still does its job of collecting my loose hair. You get a little water build up which is bound to happen because you've reduced the hole with lots of little ones but it still drains through and if it builds up like you've loosely put a plug in, then just remove what hair has been collected - is what I've found. I molt so much and this is definitely doing its job! The plughole no longer needs to be fought with as often which is great! Obviously the plughole still gets its regular clean but being pretty much free of clogs is great! The odd stray hair may find its way through but compared to previous it's nothing! I've had this both ways around and both ways work with letting water through and collecting hair, that said if you have it sitting in the plug as opposed to the dome affect, the water isn't as easy to flow through as the holes are slightly covered by the plughole surround but that's on me for not necessarily paying attention to the measurements but the water does still flow through. I tend to remove the bath plug adapter when using this. The rubber surrounding helps as a weight and keeps it in place/good suction so no lifting up should you have a mass of water going through/collecting. Overall happy with this and would purchase again.

Does the job - bit expensive
EDIT (DOWNGRADE TO 4 STARS): After two months usage whilst showering it's become apparent that the drain guard does indeed stay down while using but I've noticed that's only because the guard slows down the amount of water that can fit down the drain, so your bathtub fills with an inch or two of water around the drain, this weight from the water keeps the drain cover in place. That's fine and it still works very well. However contrary to my original review, it's become apparent there is no actual "suction" from the device. It does not "stick" to the bath. It only stays in place due to the water weight on top. All it takes is one gentle kick or touch, and it will move. It is still a good product, but keep your eye on the cover, as it can move about very easily if you stand over the drain when showering! I have knocked off 1 star in the rating due to the cost, combined with the fact that it is flimsier to stay in place than previous thought. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I decided to buy this drain protector over cheaper ones due to the good reviews, and I'm sick of the gross task of clearing hair out a drain! I bought the bath one. My set-up is to shower whilst standing in a bath tub. After using it a few times now, and being someone who sheds an awful lot of hair - I have to say it does it's job perfectly. It fits the bathtub drain very well, and as advertised catches all the hair during a shower. The suction on it is very good, in fact, I am impressed that it still stays down, tightly sealed even when the bathtub has filled up with a few inches of water. I have checked under the cover to see how effective it's been - and it's caught every hair so far, not a single one escaped down the drain - Despite the protector being covered in hair. It is a small, simple product and so I do believe it's slightly expensive for what it is.

Buy this one!
Excellent quality! I bought this one year ago and it's still in excellent conditions. It does the job and it's easy to clean.

Works well
There seemed to be some mixed reviews of this but I thought I'd give it a go and am really pleased I did. My last plughole cover was much bigger and seemed to get slimy quite quickly - this is much smaller and more discreet, and feels cleaner. My hair is long and after washing it in the shower, the loose hair bobs in a neat blob slightly above the cover while the water is running so I can easily just pick it up and bin it afterwards. I would definitely buy one again.

Perfect little bath drainer!
Fabulous little bath plug drainer … exactly what I wanted. Catches all the hair. Fits and stays perfectly in position. Definitely would recommend.

Fits UK bathtub drain perfectly and catches hair well.
Product fits my UK bathtub well and seems to catch most hair well to stop it going down and blocking the drain. Am sure the occasional hair will slip through, but saves most all, easy to then clean. I have also used this in the kitchen sink, and a shower room with the larger version, which also works well. Quite a fair price also.

Just rests in place, but otherwise basically works.
I have a bath with a pop-up plug, whose mechanism is broken. I wanted something to catch hair when showering, and the plug hole design ruled out some options that fit inside the hole. Evidence is that this does work: I find hair on it, it's easy to wipe off. Unlike some options, it's not painful to stand on - and doing so doesn't block it, unlike the plug mechanism. However, it rarely stays fully over the plug hole. The rubber lip just rests on the bath - there's no suction mechanism to keep it in place, and it's rounded so water can get under (although I'm finding hairs on it, so it's working at least partly). It might stay better in place inverted (so the dome was inside the plug hole), but that would leave effectively a metal cheese grater aligned to scrape my fibreglass bath, which doesn't seem wise. I can vouch that it's easy to remove. I know this because my kittens have discovered it, and now it sometimes appears in the middle of the floor. I'm grateful for the rubber surround, since presumably it's bouncing off the walls a few times before getting there. So not perfect, mostly because it could do with something to keep it aligned over the hole and stop it lifting. But certainly better than nothing. And also a functional cat toy.

Love these drain protectors. I have quite a considerable mane of hair, so a "hair snare" of some sort is necessary. In the past, I've used multiple types in the past, most of which were plastic/synthetic and they all had unfavorable issues. The POSITIVE points: - Holes are small enough to catch hair, but large enough to allow water to flow through easily. You don't end up standing in a tub full of water. - This particular model is perfect size for the drain in a tub/shower combination. OXO also makes one for the larger size shower drains. - The synthetic ring helps it to gently cling to the drain area, without impeding the flow of water and hair catching ability. The weight is substantially more for this design (stainless), than most others (plastic), but not too heavy. Just a nice, yet appropriate heft. - The stainless steel is durable and rust proof. - The hair is very easy to remove from the protector, just lift it off, it doesn't cling or go in the holes making it tangle. - AAA+++ all the way, another winning design by OXO (and NO I wasn't paid, nor did I receive anything for my review!) Just a darn good product. The NEGATIVE points: - None really - One customer complained that it wouldn't stay put while he was taking a bath. Note to that customer: Sir, you have a physics problem. NO drain protector is designed to stay put during a bath, you see the force of the water swishing around, negates the natural weight and design of this product or any drain protector for that matter - hence the water 'current' moves it. You don't need the drain protector whilst taking a bath anyway, you need it when the tub is draining. Place the drain protector over the drain when you switch from bathing to draining; it will work fine. If for some reason, you do still want one that stays put while bathing, try one of the plastic ones with suction feet on the bottom. I can tell you though, after using MANY drain protectors, this one is far and away the best I've encountered. Used properly, it's a winner!

Second and third purchase. This works great and fits well but only if you shed moderate amount of hair when bathing. The drain does flow slower than if you use it but it might be marginal depending on your shower flow.

TLLEGO MUY RAPIDO Y ESTA MUY PADRE PERO PENSE QUE ERA MAS GRANDE, QUE QUEDABA SOBRE LA CONTRACANASTA DE LA TARJA Y QUEDA POR DENTRO, PERO YO TENGO UN EMPAQUE POR DENTRO POR ESO SI QUEDA, SI NO, SE VA HASTA EL FONDO. EN REALIDAD NO SE PARA QUE TIPO DE DESAGÜE ES. PERO ESTA BONITO
