Ideal for those who low-carb
I hesitated about buying this as it had some very mixed reviews and is very expensive at the original price. However, I really wanted a spiraliser because I have Type 1 diabetes and don't eat carb so I knew it would give me a much greater variety of meals but I also knew that I am far too lazy to faff about with a manual one. Anyway, when the price reduced, I took a chance and I am so glad I did. It is brilliant and has revolutionised my meals. I've had it about 6 weeks and I've spiralised courgettes for all sorts of 'spaghetti' and 'noodle' dishes, carrots for Thai dishes and celeriac for pesto dishes. Beetroot is next - although I've no idea what to do with beetroot!!! All have worked brilliantly although the celeriac is a little tricky as you have to cut it to a size and shape to fit the tube. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I'm not really sure why some reviewers have had such difficulty with it - unless they had faulty ones. I use it at least 3 or 4 times a week - although I'm a little miffed at the current national courgette shortage! LOL!

Love this, there’s a nack to it though.
This spiralizer is so much quicker and easier to use than a hand spiralizer. With the discounted price, it’s even cheaper than a lot of the manual ones too. It does take a bit of getting used to and there is definitely a nack to it, but it works so well and is a great way to get more veggies into your diet. Great for students who want to eat healthy. One thing I will say is to just check the blades are clear between veggies so that the veggie noodles keep coming out perfect. Read the instructions thoroughly to get the most out of it!

Hmm
Moo.Had extremely high hopes for this... but it's extremely disappointing. It's slightly juddery, and doesn't really enjoy spiralizing anything tougher than courgettes. You can do carrots, for example, but it has to grind it out and you can hear it working hard to get through the ordeal. You need to push down on harder vegetables, and I'm always a little worried it's going to snap something off.But it can do different types of "spaghetti" and if you're plant-based or keto, it's brilliant to be able to recreate pasta, albeit vegetable-y.The other problem is it's a faff to clean. All graters are, I suppose, but this is especially faffy, for some reason, and given its price, you'd want it to maybe clean itself (and put the bins out afterwards.)I just watched the product information video and the woman in it looks very happy with her Spiralizer... maybe hers was better than mine. Can I have that one instead?

Works perfectly fine!
I have no idea why people complain about this little device! It works perfectly well for me (pictures attached), does what it says on the box, it's very quiet, and I'm one happy customer. Cleaning is not a big deal at all, I rinse the parts with hot water, dry them, and that's it. Took me less than 2 minutes. The device comes VERY well packed, not a chance that it would move inside the box. And the leftovers, which can't be spiralized are actually quite small (see pic). Easy enough to chop them up and to add to the food, might take another 60 seconds or so.I wholeheartedly recommend this device.PS: i just read that some customers actually tried to use this device manually - the transparent part has to click into place! If it doesn’t the machine won’t start! It has to be twisted CLOCKWISE, until you get an audiable “click”! Then it works a charm.EDIT March 30th 2018:After a month using it I kinda understand some people's problems. The machine tends to be temperamental (don't ever try and use a courgette which is even slightly soft in the middle - the "cross" at the bottom of the holder device won't be able to stick in and hold properly, and you get the "hey, my courgette is spinning and spinning" but no courgettis.I still like and use it, but you really want to use fresh and firm vegetables!

Avoid
I bought this as an upgrade from my plastic cone spiralizer which could only really handle courgettes. This can only handle large firm straight veg, otherwise the teeth get clogged with fragments of veg. Clearing the teeth is a pain, the machine has to be dissassembled and reassembled, the veg gets smashed so there's nothing left to spiralise, The pushing tool only works if the veg is long enough to be held in the correct place in the cutting cone, otherwise it falls off, or spins off and blocks the teeth. I've tried beetroot (medium success as it is firm) but large globes have to be cut to fit into the feeding tube, parsnip - if he tip is too narrow it blocks the bottom of the cone and doesn't engage with the teeth. I've resorted to my manual spiralizer for the largish pieces left or curved veg. As for washing up, there's the feeder tube/lid, the feeder tool, the cone, the inner gear thing and the collecting bit. Not impressed.

Great if like me you have hand pain and cannot ...
I'm not sure why this product has so many negative reviews, as others have said if you read the instructions and lock the top lid in place it works perfectly. Great if like me you have hand pain and cannot operate a manual spiralizer. If you're having trouble with it not cutting correctly - add a bit more pressure as you push the vegetables in, and make sure you properly wedge the black plunger bit into the veg for the best results.Think I'll probably put the larger blade away through and just use the smaller one only. There is a bit of waste from the very top of the veg, but with practice I've shrunk this down to the smallest it can be.
