Typewriter Typecast Typewriter Pink

Very girly.

Colour great. Design lovely but all keys heavy to press and jammed up. WD40 not the answer as gets sticky over time. I will have to try 3-in1 oil. Hope I can get it to work and replacement ribbons will be an essential also. Typing more private than using Wi-Fi but it needs to work! People are taking money for this which has been paid in good faith.

I got this as a gift even though there were no reviews, and a review on this product in a different color said it didn't work very well. I am here to tell you it works like a DREAM. I watched a quick youtube video that demonstrates how to get it started up, plus a few common troubleshooting demonstrations. It can be found by searching youtube for "we r memory keepers typewriter" and it's made by the manufacturer. One thing I didn't know to expect was that it is matte, not glossy. I think I was just so excited it was my color that I didn't consider if it might also be my texture. Like other updated, hypercontemporary retro tech I have (baby pink/blush/"millennial pink" instax camera), they really know their customers' taste and have made the product matte, as is fashionable right now. So, it's beautiful, easy to operate, and lastly, it was packaged very, very well, with an outer brown cardboard box fitted snugly over a very nice package, in which the typewriter sat, also very snugly, in two considerably dense styrofoam buffers. It looked like the distributor knew how to take it seriously to get it to me without risking it'd get bumped in some unfortunate way. The box is also nice too, and I usually let my cat play in (and, uh... make love to, I think) normal brown amazon boxes for about a week before I throw them out, but she (the cat) can keep this box for a while because it's so sturdy and doesn't look like garbage. I did watch half of one unboxing video on youtube that showed a hard time getting it to start typing. I didn't have that trouble at all, and after using it for only an hour or so, I feel like I could tell the woman in the video what she was doing wrong. So, for someone born in 1989 who has almost no experience whatsoever with typewriters, this product has a very quick learning curve and is very easy to operate. I plan to upload my own unboxing video sometime soon. If you look for it, I'm the one with the glasses sitting under a baby pink canopy.

Dopo anni finalmente decido di acquistare questa macchina. Purtroppo due delle lettere non aderiscono bene, bisogna battere molto forte perché si capisca cosa scrive e un tasto è crepato 😔 L' ho tenuta solo perché non ne trovo altre e l' usato vintage, ovviamente, è anche peggio. Peccato!

C'est une dactylo vintage que j'utilise pour écrire mes petits textes sur mes pages de scrapbooking. Comme ce n'est pas une dactylo électrique, ce n'est pas aussi rapide mais en même temps c'est parfait pour l'utilité que j'en fait. De plus, c'est vraiment un bel élément de décoration.
