Stargazer Liquid Foundation, White

Being extreemly pale I always struggle to find a foundation that matches my skin tone. I have bought a lot of foundations which despite being the palest shade in the range are always too dark for my skintone. Fed up of dark foundations, but not wanting to waste the money I'd spent buying them all I thought I would try this white foundation, combining my existing foundations with this to match my skin colour. I'm so happy I bought this as it works perfectly. I mix approx. half the Stargazer Liquid foundation with a highstreet or high end foundation (usually high/medium coverage) using a beauty blender to buff it in. Due to the low price point I wasn't expecting much from the coverage or longevity but it actually works really well on my skin, I haven't had any breakouts or dryness and it lasts as long as my normal foundation does. On it's own it's a little tacky on the skin and doesn't blend brilliantly but as a mixer it's perfect. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with fair skin who struggles to get a match, not only can you tailor your foundation colour to your skin but it makes expensive foundations last so much longer.

This saved my "too pale for drugstore foundations" problem. I don't use it by itself, because it is very sheer, it is very hard to apply evenly and it starts getting cakey after the second layer if you try to layer it. It is however the first white foundation I have ever tried, so I can't compare it to anything similar, only to normal foundations. If you are thinking of buying this to light up your foundations, be careful, because it is a water-based one and it only works with water-based, not silicone-based foundations. For instance, it made a miracle with my Skin79 hot pink bb cream, yet it makes a disaster with my Bojours 1,2,3 foundation which is pretty good on itself (only, again, too dark for me). So keep that in mind. But overall it is a great way to lighten up your too dark foundations, providing they are water-based. Although it is quite sheer by itself, it doesn't sheer foundations out too much and it doesn't change the tone, only the lightness. I also didn't notice any skin changes since I've been using it, no pore clogging, so a plus on that side.

Damnit, I really wanted to like this, considering its cheap and readily avaliable, but just no. It's so thin and patchy, with a really horrible consistency which clings to any dry skin on the face. I have no idea how other people managed to make it look passable. I tried building it up in very thin layers over my usual base of sunscreen and moisturiser, but no luck. So I removed all products from my face and tried again, but it was still patchy. The only way I found to make it anything like actual white was to put a huge amount on and then powder, but it was so thick and cakey I could literally scrape it off. I had to use 10 times as much as I usually use of my normal foundation to get anywhere with this. It has pretty much no pigment when it's blended out, and blends out to basically nothing. I tried my fingers, a brush, and a wet sponge to put it on and they all just made it patchy or scraped it off. I'm giving it two stars because in a very tiny amount it's okay to mix with my usual foundation to lighten it, even then it starts to mess up the consistency and cling to my skin in a weird way. I don't even have dry skin but this foundation makes it look dry. Just.. avoid! Get a coffee instead.

I bought this to mix in with my foundation as i am very fair. You need quite alot compared to the foundation and it mixes in well but it isnt a high quality product and therefore it brings down the effectiveness of the foundation you mix it with. Its quite dry and chalky and rubs off easily. At the end of the day it was cheap though and was a temporary mixing medium for me until i could get a better foundation colour. I wouldnt repurchase to mix in wirth foundation as it had no staying power and rubbed off really easily. however it might work well alone.

Like a lot of people I find it hard to find foundations that are not too dark,and having bought some rather expensive foundations to cheer myself up (bought on-line due to illness)I was very disappointed to find they where too dark.As they had been opened I knew I couldn't return them so thought that was money down the drain.I looked online for a solution where after a million suggestions of mixing it with moisturiser I was guided to this product. It arrived fast,but I was still dubious with it being labeled more of a toy that make up.I was very impressed with the bottle and instead of one of those awful pumps that squirt either too much or none at all there is a spatula connected to the lid-make up producers take note!It looked as if it where made for the purpose I needed it for. It mixed amazingly well with the foundation and did not affect the stability of the foundation,leaving it the exact shade that I needed-wonderful. Mixing it on the back of my hand was no hardship,but I did use another spatula type applicator I had. So now I have make up that I can adjust as I please,if I ever get a tan I don't have to worry about new make up. Considering the cost of make up,this is a cheap way of saving yourself from the dreaded 'Tango' look. Every make up box should have one!

The foundation is very blotchy, thick and patchy and looks the same as when you apply white face paint- this is what I was trying to avoid by buying a white 'foundation'. The lid is attached to a plastic black stick to apply which is not great but I guess better than nothing. I purchased the white foundation for a halloween party, to be honest I cant really say how consistent it was throughout the night but it gave me a quick good white face for the party outfit. I don't understand how people are using this for their day to day foundation, the colour is sheet bright white! The foundation will make you look as white as a ghost or corpse.. the look you want for halloween... I just would of preferred it if it wasn't so patchy, thick and blotchy like face paint as this was the look I was trying to avoid. Overall it was an okay product though, just need to be smoother and more like foundation.. xx

So this is the first white foundation that I have ever owned. I have pale skin and have always hated how when I buy foundations from shops, I tend to buy from big chain health and beauty stores, that I was forced to buy foundations that were around the same colour as my skin tone or slightly darker. This isn't terrible and I was fine with my old foundation as the texture was nice and I needed the coverage but I have wanted a foundation which is paler than my real tone for several years, I feel pale skin is pretty and delicate so I thought I'd give this product a try. It definitely gets the right effect, at first I combined with my other foundation so that it was paler but it still retained the texture of the foundation, however after using it for a short while I still wanted to be paler so I have been applying it on its own. For me the change is quite subtle with a fine layer I don't look unnaturally pale although I have over done it once or twice, so this product is versatile and not just suitable for pale skin as mixing it with foundations works amazing. If you buy a foundation that you feel is a shade or two too dark then this product will help you use the foundation and get the shade you want. If applied on it's own the texture could be better in my opinion, I feel it is a little too lumpy and uneven but once you've got it on that's not an issue. If the texture was a little more my cup of tea then this would be a 5/5 review instead.

TERRIBLE! This is so streaky, doesn’t stay on, pills and flakes off when you use other products (inc eyeshadow, powder, setting spray). I tried to use this and I was so unsatisfied that I immediately sucked it up and ordered a mehron white paint stick and it’s soooo much better. It also smells awful and I’m not putting something that smells lowkey like petrol on my skin again… I broke out afterwards which is suspicious timing

I ordered this for the purpose of a Halloween costume, so I didn’t want to spend too much money. The coverage is so-so, it kind of caked up in certain spots so I couldn’t put on another layer. It did last all night with a good setting spray though. I wouldn’t recommend for daily wear, especially if you’ve got oily or super dry skin, but as a costume foundation it did the job.

Suuuper patchy, wouldnt stay on if blended with a beautu blender or foundationbrush and really streaky when applied with fingers. Tried multiple kinds of primers and bare skin, none worked.

As someone who has used many white foundations, I found this one to be heavy. It did its job, but I was happier to take it off. I do have sensitive skin and do not like a heavy feel on the face.

this is wonderful! I love mixing this in with foundations that are too dark for my skin tone and it works perfectly!
