CICAPLAST BAUME B5 soothing repair 100 ml

I love this stuff. I used it religiously when I started my retinol again and it kept the worst of the peeling at bay. Super nourishing and even though it’s thick oily stuff it doesn’t break my very acne-prone skin out. Very subtle scent. Goes on really smoothly. Leaves a film (this is best used as a spot treatment or night cream - definitely not one for under makeup) and is greasy but not in a way that feels gross on your skin like E45 does, for example. Greasy in a luxurious way. I use it when my skin is irritated, raw, itchy, flaky or dehydrated by first putting a moisturising serum on my wet face (hyaluronic acid or COSRX snail serum), then a thin layer of super hydrating gel moisturiser for water content, then this to lock it all in and repair whatever’s going on with my face. Doesn’t stain white pillowcases yellow, and stays on surprisingly well during sleep. It’s also excellent for tattoo healing, as a nappy cream, and for soothing shaving rash. A little goes a really long way. I bought the 100ml tube about six months ago when it was on sale for £10 and I still have a good few months worth left so while it is a bit pricier than things like E45 or Bepanthen, it’s great value for money and £10-15 well spent.

I adore this cream . I have been ill for quite some time with a variety of conditions and my skin had become extremely dry and rough ...even my facial skin . I had tried a multitude of so called big name creams and even prescribed emolients . They didnt work. I decided to look for a cream that had been mentioned on a TV programme . The make was La-Roche Posay . I originally purchased this cream direct from the company and it is absolutely amazing. I needed something that would moisturise my dry , sensitive skin to perfection and I noticed a difference from the first time I applied it . My skin was much softer and silkier . I use it as a base each morning under makeup and allow it to absorb before applying my makeup. I find that I seem to use less foundation as it applies better . I also apply it each night before bed . My family and friends have noticed the difference in my skin . Im a 64 year old lady but nowadays my skin feels much younger. I decided to browse Amazon where I got a fantastic price deal on this cream . Judging by reviews this is widely used as a reliable moisturising cream though it has many uses as a repair cream also. Top class purchase . I now tend to stock pile this cream as Im terrified to be without it . I have also requested some on my Christmas List . This company also make a serum called Air Rosoliac which is for Rosacea prone skin . The two can be used together . If youre unsure as to what to give as a stocking filler then this would be a perfect item. I absolutely love it * * * * *

I'd give B5 infinite stars if I could. As someone with multiple skin issues (eczema, dry skin, flare ups of hives, rosacea), I pretty much use this for everything. It's thick, soothing, calms a multitude of problems - I even use it on cuts and scrapes if I'm not near a First Aid box. People might be surprised by how thick it is, and it does leave a slightly powdery residue, but honestly it's worth it. There's an spf 50 version too, which is worth checking out.

I found this hydrating and soothing, especially when experiencing sensitivity from using retinoids or actives, or in cold weather. It feels like a thick moisturiser and leaves a bit of a film on the skin. I found it fine to wear under make up, but may feel a bit heavy for others. I have dry skin so have used this as a night time moisturiser but may be too heavy for oily skin. I've bought this a few times and will probably buy again.

This is hands down one of the most effective moisturizers I’ve ever used. It hydrates deeply, doesn’t feel greasy, and has no scent, which I love. For the price, it honestly can’t be beat.

Good but will try to find a better place to use it

My New go to for tattoo healing. This stuff is very similar to Bepanthen, which people seem to still use for tattoo healing. It's is however not as thick. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly. It's not tacky really, however if you put some on a area of skin, rub it in. and later on touch the area you'll know something is on there. It just isn't tacky or oily. I used this 4 hours after getting my tattoo. I've used many different creams and ointments over the years. Savlon, A+E, Bepanthen, coconut/oil blends, and apart from my own concoction, this worked the best for me. Obviously we are all different. For example. After a couple of days use, I found Bepanthen breaks me out in small spots in the area it's applied. Not what you really want. Even if I was really conservative with how much I applied. Some people don't get a reaction at all and I've seen people slap it on. This one I got no reaction from. The itchy period was no where near what it's usually like for me. The skin healed more or less within a week and was mostly dry flaky skin like sunburn. No scabs. Again a little goes a long way, it will last a long time and I've used it for dry skin eczema as well. I recommend giving it a go. You may not look back. If I'm out of my own stuff, this is where I will turn to.
