I’d never heard of a Denman brush, why would I, I’m a curly girl with 3b/3c thick, high porosity fizzy hair….I’ve never owned a brush in my adult years and I’m 51 now 😂. I follow “Manes by Mell” on YouTube and she raves about these brushes, so I bought one after watching many of her videos. Mell used it after shampooing and conditioning hair and rinsing it out, but after putting your products in, to evenly distribute the products through the hair and for additional curl definition. Well this has changed my routine and battles forever this brush. Who’d have thought. You can teach an old dog new tricks. I wash my hair now, wrap in a micro towel (another life changer for curly girls) so it’s damp, then my regime is to use a leave-in conditioner, then scrunch in a curl cream, then finish up with a gel using praying hands method. Then brush through your hair in small sections (best to watch Manes by Mell) to distribute products evenly, and wow what a result. My curls are way more defined now. The secret is brush it through when hair quite wet, then don’t touch it at all, air dry hair for best defined curls. Really works for me. Because of the thickness of my hair I find the bristles on this brush are too close together and rip at my hair a bit, so I picked up another tip watching Mell, which is to remove the rubber brush bristles section off the main body of the brush, then you can easily peel out a row of bristles. I’ve taken out every other row on mine. It’s perfect now I’ve tailored it to me and my hair. It’s now easier to get the brush through. I’ve been impressed with my first ever hairbrush in adulthood 😆. I’d never ever brush my hair when it’s dry (big massive no no for curlies), but it’s perfect for combing through wet hair to get the knots out with conditioner in the shower, or for doing the brushing through of products and to get added curl definition. I'm a bloke. I'm 72 and have a full head of thick hair. Lucky, huh? Back in the early 1970's, like most blokes, I had long hair. That's when I started using Denman brushes. Good to look at, quality build, strong, comfortable to use and they got the job done. I've got a 3-2-1-0 hipster skin fade now. Just as perfect for short cuts as when it was halfway down my shoulder blades. Wouldn't use any other brand. They are just as well made now, as they were half a century ago. How many products can say that?

Bought as a replacement for my old brush which had seen better days, and I'm not sure I actually bought the right one! However, it's solid and well made as you would expect. Always a bit fiddly removing a row or two for better curl definition.

Excellentand just suits my hair.

Bought first denman brush when my hair started thinning as it has lovely soft bristles which don’t scratch my scalp

A replacement for a old Denman brush and I'm pleased to say it's still as good . A quality hairbrush .

Not sure there is much to say, as this brush is already famous for wet styling. As you’d expect, it’s a great product, the versatility is awesome - you can pull out rows of teeth depending on the result you want, and you can use it in various ways to style your curly hair. I love the lavender and pink color too, I find it nicer than the classic black and red. The only thing to note is that it’s really really difficult to put the rubber part back in if you take it out to remove rows of teeth or deep clean the brush

Embora tive um pequeno problema com a entrega que embora acredite seja devido a pandemia o produto chegou bem embalado com a embalagem original,lacrado e sem nenhum defeito aparente. To start off, I’d like to say that this brush is amazing. It has changed my hair completely and I use it in curly hair routine almost every single day. I have very thick, course hair that I have find trouble finding good products for, so I am happy that I found out about the Denman brush. The purpose of the Denman brush is to, “define curls, detangle, and smooth the hair,” and I can confirm that the description is accurate, and this brush successfully does what it’s supposed to do. This is gentle alternative of detangling curly hair than a regular paddle brush, which is a big NO for curly girls because paddle brushes can cause damage and breakage to already naturally dry curly hair. The Denman Brush has made it easy for me to get big knots out of my hair without causing split-ends. It also causes my hair to clump together and I love how defined my curls come out because of this brush. There are seven rows on the rubber pad and these rows can be removed to create bigger or smaller curl clumps depending on how many rows are kept in. I love that this brush creates such beautiful curls instead of stringy looking hair. I used to have trouble with my hair never clumping together and it would basically look like “Ramen Noodle” hair, but this brush solved this issue. The Denman brush also smoothens my hair and create a uniform sleek curl and prevents my hair to frizz up. The description also says that this brush is, “ideal for creating tight curls, root lift or for shorter hair,” and I’m happy to agree with this statement as well. My curls do look tighter and have more of a coil when I use this brush in a certain way. I’ve noticed that a lot of people don’t know how to use a Denman brush to create coils and will quickly give it a bad review, but there is a specific way to use it. To achieve coily curls, I brush my hair from underneath and start turning the brush to make a spiral. In other words, I coil my hair around the brush. It’s basically the same process as curling your hair with a flat iron. It also does cause my roots to be more voluminous and prevents my hair from becoming flat and sad. I highly recommend the Denman brush to every curly-headed girl out there because I strongly believe that I will become your best friend and make your curly hair routine way easier.
