Outstanding 30 Litre everyday backpack
I put this 30 litre backpack through its paces, and overall, itโs a robust and highly capable bag that lives up to the Berghaus reputation for quality. First impressions are strong. The backpack is well-made from durable polyester fabric that appears ready to withstand daily commutes or travel and adventures. The dimensions (52cm H x 35cm W x 16cm D) make it substantial without being overly bulky, offering a generous 30-litre capacity that's perfect for a full day's worth of gear. The thoughtful design and storage layout is largely effective. There are two large zipped compartments, which are the main workhorses of the bag. The primary zipped compartment is impressively spacious. It easily accommodates my 17โlaptop in the dedicated large internal pocket. I also appreciated the small Velcro loop, it's simple and perfect for securing a keyring. The second zipped compartment offers additional organization with one medium and two smaller pockets. This is where I found a minor potential improvement: it would have been incredibly helpful if these internal pockets had zips or Velcro closures. Items placed in them, especially smaller ones, could easily fall out into the wider compartment if the bag were jostled or laid flat. There's also a useful plastic ring in this section, handy for clipping on small accessories or keys. This backpack really shines in the comfort department. The Flowback system, with its extra breathable, vented-foam design, lives up to its "Breathe Easy" promise. Even on a warmer day with a moderately loaded pack, my back felt significantly less sweaty than with other backpacks I own. This ventilation is a great for daily use or longer treks. The height-adjustable chest strap ensures a snug and customized fit, which is crucial for distributing weight evenly and preventing shoulder strain. Plus, the backpack's compatibility with hydration systems means staying hydrated on the go is a breeze. For outdoor enthusiasts, the attachment points for walking poles are a fantastic addition. The two open side pockets are also great for quick access to water bottles or umbrellas. The product is a high-quality, versatile backpack that lives up to the Berghaus name. Its comfortable design, ample main storage, and thoughtful outdoor-friendly features make it an excellent choice for both urban commuters, travels and adventurers. While the lack of closures on the internal pockets in the second compartment is a minor oversight, it doesn't detract significantly from what is otherwise a very well-executed product. If you're in the market for a durable, comfortable, and spacious everyday or day-trip backpack, this one is definitely worth considering.

Probably the best fitting rucksack I've ever had. Two years later, still is.
Initial review (Nov 2015): Probably the best fitting rucksack I've ever had (and I've had others more expensive than this one). Replaces my similar sized previous day-to-day pack. Carrying the same items, feels lighter - more than likely due to the better fit. Not taken it anywhere to assess how the back channel helps with sweat, but so far the contour provides an excellent fit. Update (Feb 2018): Having a myriad of specific purpose bags, I also wanted a bag to cover most events. Indeed over the past 2 years the Berghaus 30L 24/7 has been a great choice for me. Summary: Great load capacity without looking bulky empty or full. Its a master for city, beach and outdoor walk days. Competent go to work bag. Surprisingly adaptable for photography. Proven robust from its great condition (still near new look). If you want to read the details: Used daily since I got it: work, planes (fits bottom compartment loaded), on holiday, to the beach, to hills, camping, photography. Iโve also used it to transport a 17โ laptop beast in the past, though not in the laptop pouch. Just squeezes in the bag height-wise. For work mode, laptop on laptop slot, extra coat/food on back area, and extras/music gear on front section. The laptop slot at the bottom has a gap of 4cm or so to the floor to help prevent the laptop hitting surfaces every time you put the bag down. Works very well. Out for the day mode, often with camera gear. Where I think birding opportunities or long distance shots are expected, that includes a large tele-lens where the depth of the back compartment just fits the camera with lens+hood attached). Other lenses go next to it (in neoprene individual bags), and an outdoors coat for rain. All in the back section. The front pocket then used for food mainly. Iโve got other tog bags, depending what Iโm doing so choosing this frequently says a lot. For general outdoors and city its similar, minus carrying a long lens :) In all, Iโve found it brilliant for an all day with the family as a great medium size, not bulky, very comfortable and adjustable. Also very importantly not shouting to all on the occasions when carrying expensive equipment in the bag! (Whether work or photography) Seriously considering buying another as a reserve.

Worth the money
The size is good and comfortable. Looks like a standard sized backpack which is what I wanted. Lots of padding where it needs to be (back and some in-between each compartment). Zippers are very tough, though quite bulky in some ways. It doesn't affect the bag, though. Unsure of the durability as I use it for work to put my laptop, lunch etc in and I commute via car. I wanted this bag so I wasn't carrying lots of bags around. I've had it a few weeks and still getting used to the different sections - there are so many! The secure compartment that rests are the bottom towards your back is brilliant. I've used it in town once and stored my car key, keys and phone in it. It isn't big enough for a purse/ wallet. Not mine anyway, but I guess you could just keep your cards and notes in it? The colour is a nice grey, good location for charging port/ head set etc. 2 sides for bottles or small storage, a secure key chain inside to put keys in and easily clip off when needed. Very happy with this product!

24-7 Rucksack
This was a present for our son whose previous rucksack had been a smaller version of the 24-7 line. He had used it everyday since he got it a few years ago and had stood up well to the demands he had placed upon it. Unfortunately the zip had gone on that and he asked for a replacement, preferably the same one. Given the nature of his job (RSPB Warden) he needs a quality rucksack that will see all forms of weather and will be roughly manhandled on a daily basis. Thus we decided to order this larger model from the same line. We found the cheapest version through Amazon via the Millets Marketplace Store. Absolutely delighted on all accounts. We were a little concerned with the lateness of our ordering, that it may not arrive in time but we neednt have feared. Delivery was super quick (three days from ordering in the week before Christmas) and we just used the standard delivery service. The package that arrived was one of those strong blue plastic envelopes whilst the rucksack itself was in a clear bag within that. No issues at all. To be honest I was very impressed with the service I received. The 30 litre size was a 10 litre increase on the previous model he had used although looking at the rucksack externally it didnt look it (at least to my eyes). However, when it came to be loaded, the extra 10 litres quickly became apparent. The bag still looked a similar size to his old one when on the back but he had packed everything he usually carried and so much more into it besides. Very impressive really. He also said that it felt very comfortable and strong with good zips that opened easily and gave the impression of quality. I guess only time will tell on that. All in all, from what I could tell and from my sons comments, I would say that this is a quality, mid-price rucksack, ideal for my sons needs, ideal as a commuting to work bag, ideal for a day trip away or a day of light walking rather than heavy hiking. So why the four stars and not five. Simple really. Had the rucksack contained a built in waterproof cover then it would have been given the extra star but it hasnt and so thats that. Now I know you can buy relatively cheaply waterproof covers as a extra but it would still hhave been nice to have one built into this quality bag. We are all walkers in our family and both our sons work in the ecological field so we regularly need good quality equipment. We are not a family of blind allegience to one particular brand like so many are today, but rather we seek the best quality for the job its required for. In this case - to date - the Berghaus 24-7 Plus is that bag. If it appears that its not then you dear reader will know as soon as I do.

Great day pack, comfortable, good moisture control, versatile
A great day pack, just the right size to hold the necessities for a day hike. The pouch inside fits my BTR Double Thick 2 Litre Hydration Pack Bladder - Suitable for Cycling, Hiking, Running, Camping, Walking. BPA Free perfectly, and the hose fits well through the generous hydration tube opening. The outer bottle pockets can fit quite a chunky bottle (like a large 1.5L bottle of Highland Spring etc), without being too big for a standard plastic bottle. There are no zipped pockets inside, which is a shame, but there are a variety of small pockets within the front opening, and a plastic carabiner, useful for securing your keys. The main compartment has only the pouch for a hydration pack or laptop. There is an adjustable chest/sternum strap, which slides/adjusts vertically & horizontally, but no waist strap. Compared to the rest of the 24/Seven range, it has a much better set of storage pockets, and I visually inspected the whole range. It fits into a 55cm wheeled luggage trolley, which was important for me for travelling abroad. All the zips and seams appear to be quite secure, and the main compartment zip is covered by a flap to prevent the ingress of moisture The flow system works reasonably well, though it works best in conjunction with the chest strap, as it raises the pack off your back a little. Used in combination with a Berghaus tech wicking shirt, it really reduces sweating, though it doesn't eliminate it all together. It's not as effective as something like the Vango Ventis, which has a mini 'frame' to hold the pack away from your back, but this comes at the expense of increased size and weight, and it was too big to fit in my hand luggage. Very pleased with it overall, just the right size for a day hike, and very comfortable to wear. With judicious packing it can be used for an overnight trip. I can fit my small Naturehike tent and gear inside, and rolled sleeping mat in the bungee straps. Edit: noticed today there is a little Velcro loop where the H2O inlet comes in, so you can hang the bladder/position the tube. There is also a securing loop on the front strap, to stop the drinking tube from wandering. Edit 2: A few months on, and many hikes later, proving to be a really good rucksack. The elasticated cords are good for keeping items handy, like rain jackets, and hiking poles. Edit 3: Added some photos. (2 nights pack) tent, sleep pad, sleeping bag, 2 days food, 2 litres water, 15 L dry bag, rain coat, down jacket, change clothes, toiletries and electronics. weight 8kg inc 2 L water

Good looking large rucksack.
I have been using this rucksack for a few months now on my daily commute to work and on 3 trips to the middle east. It replaced a Jeep rucksack that lasted over 10 years before a zip broke. I am very pleased with this rucksack, it is very comfortable to wear and is large enough for my needs. It looks good and having been rained on a few times, it has kept its contents dry though I have invested in a waterproof cover in case of torrential downpours. The slight criticisms I have with this rucksack are: The flap on the top for the hydration tube is large and gapes open and could let moisture in. When walking it does puff air through the flap on your neck which is not unpleasant. I bought the black rucksack and what looks like red trim in the pictures is actually an alarming pink in real life. I am not a chap who is worried by this but other gentlemen may be. A lack of compartments means it can be difficult to retrieve your belongings as they are mixed up together at the bottom. I discovered a small section of stitching was undone on one of the straps today but does not show or affect the structure of the bag. I have given it 5 stars as overall it is excellent and despite the minor points above, I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent Bag
This is a great bag, exceeded expectations. I had been looking at North Face offerings but I wasn't prepared to spend the silly amounts of money they command. I found this bag on Amazon, the reviews were very favorable and I thought it looked great with the red tassles. The bag itself is very generous with space it has a large section at the back that will happily accommodate a laptop and a fair bit more on top of that. It has a separator in this section too so if you aren't lugging a laptop about you can use it to hold something else (I think it's actual intention is to hold the optional hydration pack as this area is directly below the opening in the top of the bag or the hydration hose to go through. There is a large front section too, this has a section separated into two halves for smaller items, this is one area i feel could be better, ie. pen holders, seal able pocket for cash maybe but to be honest it really isn't a massive problem. The two side pockets for water etc are good and deep so will hols a fair sized bottle. The back is well thought out to ensure that you don;t end up with a hot sweaty back after hours of carrying it and the straps are comfortable too. All in all (and for the price I paid) I am very happy with this bag, I had a gift voucher too so the actual cost to me was a third of what the North Face bag I had considered would have cost me. Can highly recommend it.

Tough review
It's a tough review as I actually like the bag, it looks nice, it's comfy and it's spacious. But that's where it ends unfortunately, the quality is just not what I was expecting (glad I didn't pay full price). The material feels thin and weak, the zips feel like they are about to give way, just overall low quality product. With that in mind, I don't even use this daily I only use it at weekends (weather dependent) to transport my drones on location. Bitter sweet purchase, meh product. Paying for a brand name.

Great all-around backpack
I got this exact backpack as a gift in 8 years ago and loved its versatility. It's perfect for hiking, gym clothes, or even as a carry-on luggage piece on an airplane. It has plenty of pockets and zippers to keep everything organized and neatly in place. After 8 years, my old one had seen better days, so I decided to get a new one of the exact same model. Have had it for a month now and I can say it's as good as it's always been.

Ottimo prodotto Berghaus, una garanzia.
Ottimo. Materiale resistente. Carino anello portachiavi. Cordine esterne per legare/portare oggetti tipo indumenti o bacchette trekking o altro. Infine 2 tasche esterne aperte porta bottiglia. Amazon eccellente come sempre per tempi e imballo. Grandi!

Great backpack
Iโm keen on Berghaus products and my last backpack from berghaus is still in normal condition, even after 8 years of daily use. As I can see this product is great as well and quality the same. Recommend to anyone who looks for a daily backpack.
