Vetericyn Eye Wash - 89ml

My kitten developed a sore-looking eye over the weekend, and I couldn’t stand to see her walking around keeping it closed as it was clearly bothering her. It wasn't an infection, but whatever it was made her eye stink and water. I tried to clean it with a clean cloth and purified water, but it wasn't improving. Since it was the weekend, it was difficult to get an appointment with the vet until Monday. I didn't want to watch her suffer until then, so I ordered the Vetericyn Eye Wash from Amazon. Initially, I was a little worried by some of the reviews mentioning a bleach smell or burning sensation, but most reports were positive. I decided to try one drop first to see how she reacted. My kitten had no adverse reaction, so we waited a bit before applying more, and there were no issues with the drops. My kitten hated having the drops put in, but that’s understandable as she doesn’t like anyone going near her eye. I made her as relaxed as possible with treats, and the eye drops went in fine. After a few doses on the first day, we woke up the following morning to see her eye completely normal and wide open again. The eye wash is very gentle and does not irritate or sting. Her eyes looked refreshed afterward. This is an absolutely wonderful product, and I can't understand the negative reviews. It’s a professional, high-quality product specifically designed for pets' eyes and made by a reputable company. Nothing about this product concerned me at all, and I’m always cautious with my kitty. The adjustable nozzle is great; I have it open only a tiny way so only one drop at a time comes out, and it works brilliantly. I'm very glad I bought it. This fantastic product saved me a trip to the vet, stopped the discomfort in her eyes, and brought her quick relief. It was worth every penny, and I’m so grateful the seller and Amazon made such a product available with same-day shipping. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to friends and family. Firstly, do seek your Vet's advice wherever your kitty has runny eyes in case there is an issue that requires veterinary treatment, but following my vets advice (she's seen a veterinary eye specialist) that basically, it was my kitty's anatomy (i.e the shape of her face due to the breed) that likely caused her runny eye, I decided to buy this after doing some research on the product. We only use it a couple of times per week to clean around her eye rim and just blot with cooled distilled water the rest of the time. I do occasionally squeeze a little onto the edge of a pure fresh cotton pad and gently drip it into her eye as an eye wash (I use the cotton pad as she doesn't like the bottle near her face!). It really has made a huge difference for her and helps keep her eyes clear, healthy and we've managed to keep her lovely face tear stain free. The runniness will always come and go as per Vet advice, but this is a great long term management treatment.

I've used this to clean our spaniels sticky eyes,It helped .I only put a few drops on a makeup cleaning pad to do the eye cleaning but I have also squeezed a couple of drops into her eyes and she didnt mind.

Okay as a general eyewash but did not stop new tear stains from forming, which is predominantly what I bought it for. Better products available plus for the size of bottle it's on the expensive side.

I've always had numerous dogs and the with each different dog, comes different ailments.... so we are all always learning. The Vetericyn Antimicrobial Eyewash is hands down the most effective product I've used, for minor eye irration, to the beginning of eye infections (if you have a Lab or other water obsessed breed, then them submerging their faces in disgusting ponds etc seems to result in eye infections for their 1st year). Don't get me wrong, if your dog gets an eye infection that that is getting worse, always seek veterinary care in the 1st instance, in case there has been some eye damage etc. But for those fur bags in our care that get repeated eye issues of this type, it is a godsend and 9 times out of 10, will prevent it getting worse and usually will resolve within 24 hours. My eldest dog suffers with dry eye, which very easily and repeatedly causes minor eye infection. Obviously he has received repeated veterinary care earlier on with this condition. But when it flares up for him, Vetericyn Eyewash several times a day flushes his eyes out cleanly and much more comfortably than boiled salted water (or other dog eye washes) and is then followed up 15 mins later with an eye lubricant. This gives swift relief and completely clears his eyes within 48 hours.... so that just his ongoing daily eye lubricant is required (dry eye is a permanent condition for him at his age).

Effective eye wash and good value for money

I buy this all the time. I rescue cats and dogs and it works wonders for eye allergies, colds with eye boogers, foreign bodies, etc. My vet approves and my experience has been nothing but positive. I use this in conjunction with ointment that I also buy on here. Each one lasts 6-12 months for me. No one has had a negative reaction. They just get better. They don't love it but they tend to realize by day 3 that I'm just helping so they accept it a bit better. The bottle might leak a bit but I store it upright to prevent. The bottle is a a twist to open, a nice size and isn't awkward to use. I consider it a good value and it saves me time, and vet bills.

Cleared up my cats conjunctivitis entirely in about 4-5 days. She was already much more comfortable after day one. Good product, would purchase again.

My dog has red eyes that never goes away no matter which eyes drop I used until I saw this and decided to give it a try. Not only it cured the red eyes but also tear stain that often I have to wipe it for him every few hours. So happy with the purchase.
