would this work in download from a samsung smart tv

If it helps I use mine to play downloads on my Samsung UE32D5520 I also use it for to record programs from the Samsung with the PVR menu and play the recordings back on the Samsung, and also remove the Pen and play the recordings on my Grandmothers Furrion Tv through the usb port.

Yes - you definitely can. This was the reason for my purchase and it booted appliance fine.

does this work as a wireless lan adapter

I'm not sure all I know it's a USB stick with 32gb memory, it's unopened
