Roughneck ROU32025 Plasterboard Carrier

Not entirely what it’s designed for, but I used it to carry decent quality (ie, reasonably heavy) 6ft fence panels. Super easy to use and let me walk for ages without any strain at all. Even up ladders. Made a tricky job super easy, and for not much cash. 100% recommend as nothing else comes close at this price.

I was skeptical about buying this Tool, because lets be honest there doesnt look much to it, and 18mm OSB 3 8ft x 4ft sheets are really heavy for one person, and am not really a big guy, am quite fit but these panels can be awkaerd to grip/hold and the shear size and weight makes them yealding to move safely. Do not be fooled this tool is brillaint it enables one person to move these sheet good easily ans safely. just make sure to place the toll mid point at the bottom to have balance when lifting, or slightly off centre to create a higher or lower raised edge on to a frame, or when liftin onto something higher, its works great right hand holding the tool. left hand steadying the top leading edge of the panel, perfect

It does its job admirably well, making the carrying of awkward-to-hold large ply & plasterboard panels a lot easier, without causing damage to the underside or surface. And it's cheap & light. But it's a bit short when you have to reach down to pick up said panel, and the carrying process is still a bit tricky (at least with the very heavy 8 x 4 acoustic plasterboards I recently moved).

Working on my own on a DIY project with large sheets of plywood and this really made moving it around easy.

When I needed to swap over some damaged fence panels I realised to do it on my own I needed a panel carrier. I couldn't find out via the description what thickness of panel this would carry as it all seemed geared towards plasterboard rather than fence panels and the reviews all seemed to be about plasterboard carrying. In the end I ordered one and chanced it and I could then find out what the maximum width of panel it would carry would be. The measurement of the trough that the item you are carrying in is designed to sit in is 35mm. Oops. My fence panels are 40mm. I found it doesn't matter at all - so even though the fence panels were wider than the gap, they still sat securely on the top of the upstand and I carried 12 panels up and down the garden with ease and without a single slip. The carrier itself is so light it is amazing and without this tool I literally could not have done this on my own. It is only £11.99 but saved me having to pay someone else to help. I can't believe I've gone all these years without one. Superb.

Excellent product, makes lifting easier

I am currently boarding out ceilings and dry walls on a first floor renovation. This simple, reasonably priced, piece of kit is a life-changer. I'm moving boards 1.2m wide by up to 3m long and 13mm thick upstairs and along a corridor under low beams. Using this carrier, I can see over the top of the boards and avoid any obstacles/dogs/people that I would otherwise have bumped into. As another reviewer has said, it saves your fingers. Another use I've found is picking up boards that I have cut on trestles. The extra few centimetres of reach helps my back, and saves some creased boards. Why not five stars? Because the only drawback I can see is that the lifter does not stand up on its own (as shown in the photo) while you are loading a board onto it.

Serieuyquand tu travail solo c'est un vrai gros plus. Je n'ai pas ressenti le poids des plaquescar je n'étais plus obligé de tendt les bras . Position naturelle, poids répartit au top. J'ai adoré. Et quand ma dame m'aidait elle prenait la poignée et a aussi apprécié de pas se casser le dos. Je recommande

utilisation simple. Solide et léger. Permet de transporter à moindre effort des plaques de plâtre seul. La largeur permet de ne pas abimer la tranche des plaques.

Pratique pour porter les plaques de plâtre seul

Objet très pratique qui divise quasiment le poids par 2 et permet de transporter les plaques de plâtre très facilement. Je recommande. C'est un outil incontournable lorsque que l'on doit manipuler des plaques de placo seul.
