I've had this for a while, it's very very sensitive. However the alarm is loud and can be heard from inside the house. Problems: Doesn't fit on the bike that I have, that's ok I've put it elsewhere. Also when I left a review last time of 3 stars, the company emailed me over and over asking me to take the review down. When I refused, they offered me some money back in exchange for a good review. I know realise after hearing recent news broadcasts that this procedure breaks Amazon's rules.

Thieves snapped it in half in one second. Only the warning beep happend because it was so quick. It is loud but easily breakable. I lost my bike because I trusted this lock. Chain up your bikes.

This product seems well made for the purpose of locking a cycle/motorcycle disc brake. The slot necessary for the disk does offer the means by which a pry bar may be put in to force it open. You would just have to rely on the god-awful din it makes to scare off the thief and give you warning.. Hopefully it would not get that far. A bike with a damaged disc is not really worth the stealing. As an auxiliary locking mechanism, I think it is pretty good. The alarm is the big selling point.At this time I cannot comment on how waterproof it is, or on the likely battery life... although coming with spare batteries suggests their life may be short if the device is set and armed for hours each day. My use is only sporadic.I hope this helps.UPDATE: Regarding battery life, I have to say it does not seem to be too bad. I recently tested it out by leaving it set for a whole week continuously. Batteries still good at the end of that time.

Was good until we have rain then it stopped working so not waterproof

This is great for securing your bike when you are out and about because it will fit in your pocket for use whenever.It arrived on time and was exactly as describer. It's well made and works perfectly. The alarm is really loud and would draw immediate attention and put off a thief or prat who was playing with your bike.The expandable `string` is a useful visual reminder and also puts off potential touchers.I have a huge chain for maximum effect but it is a pain to transport around so this is an alternative that is very handy.

you can remove this with a screw driver in about 10 seconds from a motorbike. Its build quality is of recycled composite metals, aka hit it with a hammer and it shatters. The alarm sounder is more like 60db not the advertised amount. READ THE REVIEWS dont waste your money on something that does not work.

It is noisy if the alarm is activated, buuuuut...It was in my Bandit brake disc right, stupidly I started the bike with the 1st gear on and by mistake I released the clutch, as the bike jumped forward it simply broke the lock and that's it. Didn't activated the alarm at all, and was broken and couldn't be used anymore.Resuming, anyone could have brake it off and could have taken the bike away. Rubbish thing, just saying.

I've been using mine for about a month. Weather had not been great but it has held up well.The alarm is still working a and is still nice and loud.The only issue i have had is the locking mechanism got a little sticky. A quick spray of wd40 soon sorted it outOverall good value.
