This is a lovely book - purchased for my dad who has dementia as he struggles to use pens / pencils, it’s easier for him to use the paint brush & water. The illustrations are good without being noticeably for children. The colours are really good too. He is quite proud of his book and it brings him a lot of pleasure! He has a number of these books , this is a favourite, we sometimes paint together helps him escape his anxiety!

Bought this for my youngest daughter, because she was apparently the only one who never had one as a little child. So she will never really know how worth the wait it was, to have this one, compared to the ones her siblings had. It is really lovely with a white background to the pages and a nice array of soft-bright colours nothing like the wishy-washy ones of years ago. It comes with it's own special pen, and has a water resistant flap to the back cover that you can fold under to stop the page you are painting on wetting/spoiling the one beneath it.

We used to have these when I was a kid. It's a bit like magic - you just use the enclosed paintbrush and some water, and as you apply it to the black and white drawing, the colours come to life. The pictures are complex enough to use with adults with dementia (so they don't feel the activity is beneath their dignity) Because you only need water, it is perfect as an occupying task for young kids on train journeys, etc. It is satisfying whether the shapes are coloured in carefully by an older child, or smudged over by a less accurate toddler, as either way you end up with a magically coloured picture.

Bought as a present. Smaller than expected but seems excellent quality for the price. Intricate patterns, great for mindfulness.

Beautiful pictures, something totally different to the rather horrible childrens' magic painting books that you buy these days. So gorgeous I have bought another just for myself (the first is a present for a 7yr old). When my own copy has arrived I will add to my review giving my thoughts on the actual colours etc.. but for the moment it is the best magic painting book I have seen.

I can spend hours on a weekend sitting watching my fave tv shows and colouring this in. The patterns are very intricate and interesting so it really helps you take your mind of stuff. Just need to make sure you use a good quality pencil and not a felt tip and some colours can go through the page. I really like it though.

My kids love how the colour magically appears when you brush water onto the pages. It's also mess free.

Fa un bel effetto anche in bianco e nero, ma la magia di colorare i disegni semplicemente passando il pennello umido e vedere che le varie parti hanno sfumature differenti lo rende unico. Non ha un particolare scopo didattico se non dare la sensazione di partecipare al complemento di un quadro. Da fare insieme grandi e piccini. Sarebbe stato il massimo se una volta asciutto tornasse in bianco e nero...ma ok

水を使う塗り絵としては、デザインも良く子供も喜んで遊びます。一度塗ると色が消えないタイプで、付属のペンもお皿などに水をつけながら使うことになり、移動中や外出先で気軽に遊ぶには少し不便ですので星四つ。

Le gusto tanto a mi hija de 9, como a la de 5. Es muy original, y les encanta ir descubriendo los colores escondidos. La hoja esta en blanco y negro, humedeces el pincel que trae y vas pasándolo como si estuvieras pintando y aparecen los colores por arte de magia. Es imposible pintarlo mal, para las mas peques es fascinante hacerlo "como las mayores".

Just add water and paint away! No mess. These books are great. The colors are already on the page and appear as you paint. My daughter loves them and I love not having paint all over the house. Highly recommend. Have bought several of these books and will purchase more.

Awesome book. Keeps my 4.5 yo occupied for hours. The paper quality is nice and colors come out well.
