Proraso Pure Bristle Shaving Brush

Whilst the metal handle is a bit tackier in reality than it looks in the marketing pictures it works really well and has not shed yet after a couple of months use. I found the first few uses didn't get much of a lather but now it has bedded in it really lathers well and is much better than previous brushes Ihave used. Really good value for money.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is an exceptional brush for the price point. I bought mine in 2020, so 5 years old now, and it's still going strong. I expect another 10-15 years out of it at least. I have tweaked my methods to whip lather, but over the years I have deduced the most luxurious method below. A caveat, it takes a bit of time. Boil water in your kettle. Place your brush downward facing into a deepish bowl or mug. Fill the bowl or mug with the brush in it with the boiling water until the water sits above the brush (not the handle). Give it 20-30 seconds, then tip out the water from the bowl. Careful - this is boiling water remember. Give the brush a quick flick but make sure you retain most of the water on the brush. Add shaving cream to the bottom of the moist bow/mug. Using the brush, go into circular motions into the bowl/mug and whip out some lather for about 15-30 seconds. Then apply it to your face and will feel this amazingly warm and soft cream exfoliate your skin and provide protection. Without a doubt, the best part of the shave. You feel in heaven. You can repeat this warm lathering another time if you want. Overall, a fantastic product that makes shaving great. Highly recommend.

Brilliant value for money, arrived very quickly.....

Good brush - was worried it would shed of feel noticeably worse than a badger hair one. But it's good! Lathers well and doesn't shed (well it lost one hair on my first application, but thats it). Good value too.

Excellent quality definitely recommend

I LOVE proraso products they are value items but always quality . This shave brush was cheap £9.50 with small discount ( normally £10 ish ) the pictures look great the reality though is the handle is chrome plastic ( think shower head ) with a very noticeable injection moulding seam running the entire length of the handle . Now in fairness the product is fine and does the job adequately . However it’s a shame the handle was not real chromed metal , even @£10 price point that is doable and still profitable for the brand .The brush itself is probably outsourced and made in China judging by the poorish made to a price quality . Buy it if you want an adequate but cheap shaving brush . if you want good quality that will look great in your bathroom for years to come buy something else . 5/10 for quality. 8/10. For functionality.if I had a brand like proraso I would not sully the brand with this cheaply made compromise of a product . You pays your money you make your choice . *edit*. Seems this product is actually made in Italy It appears , alas it’s still made to cheap Chinese standards , disappointingly so .

The Proraso Professional Shaving Brush has been a fantastic addition to my wet shaving routine. The natural boar bristles create a rich, thick lather with very little effort and do an excellent job of lifting and preparing beard hair for a closer shave. After a short break-in period, the bristles became noticeably softer while still maintaining enough backbone to work shaving soap and creams effectively. The handle feels comfortable and secure in hand, and the overall build quality is excellent for the price. What impressed me most is how much it improved my shaving experience. It produces plenty of lather, feels great on the face, and helps deliver a smoother, more comfortable shave every time. If you're looking for a high-quality shaving brush without spending a fortune, this is easily one of the best options available.

Ich habe den Proraso Rasierpinsel gekauft und bin seitdem sehr zufrieden. Die Anwendung ist angenehm und der Pinsel liegt gut in der Hand. Er erfüllt seinen Zweck einwandfrei und sorgt für einen schönen, gleichmäßigen Rasierschaum. Zusätzlich habe ich mir auch die passende Rasierseife von Proraso gekauft – beides lässt sich hervorragend miteinander kombinieren und ergibt ein sehr gutes Rasiererlebnis.
