Why does the price of this keep going up? also, why are amazon charging vat on these?

I find them reasonably priced compared to other places. VAT is charged unless you’re a diabetic.

Would these work with the glucorx hct machine?

I just want a unit to check if I have diabetes or not , is this suitable for the job?

This monitor will only show your blood sugar at a snapshot in time. To find out if you have diabetes you need to ask your doctor to carry out an HbA1c blood test. That shows your blood glucose levels over a 3 month period and is a much more accurate indicator of whether you are diabetic and how bad (or good) your overall levels are.

Can any other test strip be used in this devuce as strips seem more expensive than others

I don't think so. I have used others and they are not as good, I was getting all different readings that couldn't possibly be right so I did 3 tests 2 hour's after a meal within 5 minutes of each other I got 3 massively different results that would have put me in hospital,
