Very strong if applied correctly
I bought the DenTek Temparin Max Temporary Dental Repair Kit after losing a filling and needing something reliable to get me through until I could see a dentist. Overall, it did exactly what I needed it to do. The application tool is handy and helps place the material accurately, although it is a little on the long side. Because of that, it’s not ideal for teeth right at the back of the mouth, which took a bit of patience to work around. That said, once the material is in place, it’s easy enough to shape and smooth. I found the best results came from applying it the night before. By the next morning it had fully set solid, and I was pleasantly surprised at how secure it felt. I was able to eat normally on the same side of my mouth without any issues, which was a huge relief. For a temporary fix, this product is strong, dependable, and gave me real peace of mind. It’s not a permanent solution, but as a stop-gap before a dental appointment, it works very well and does exactly what it claims.

A bit messy. Did not like the taste. But when I saw my dentist, she asked if I had help putting it in. I hadn't. She said it's still in place and would do the job until I have it replaced at the end of the month. Did the job very well.

Enough'a enough
I've bought this product a good few times now and I've held my tongue until now on this issue but too many times you get delivered a product that's dried up beyond the point of return. No water added will ever make it work properly and you have to buy more. Even though the product is cheap, this loop can go on forever and the product doesn't last long enough in your mouth to make it viable even when you get a good batch. Think you're better spending a bit more for something that'll actually work.

Saved me a lot of pain - and money for temp fixes
EDIT: After using this and going back to the dentist, he commented on the neat job it did and it posed no difficulty in removal. I had an accident in my past that left me with a fractured tooth. I was advised by the dentist that it would eventually fail, but as it wasn’t causing any problems, I may as well leave it and monitor it. Several years on and it caught up with me. A chunk broke off and left me with a sharp edge. The dentist did an emergency filling with an appointment for a permanent repair in 4 weeks, but within 2 days it broke out – curse my love for salted peanuts! I took a punt with this and wish I had done it earlier rather than pay for a temporary filling. It was really easy to use. Inside the pot is a little roll of a thick paste. Kind of like putty but a lot thicker and dryer. You simply use the provided tool to take a sliver off, roll this into a ball and push it into the void. There were more detailed instructions, but that was it in a nutshell. A wet finger can smooth it over and it naturally dries to a hard layer. Probably best to do it before bed so you don’t have to think about it. Recommendations – Clean your teeth and rise with mouthwash – you don’t want to trap bacteria in the gap. Don’t put too much in to start with. Get the feel of where it is before you push it in as it can be awkward if you need to use your least dominant hand and you can’t directly see it in a mirror. If you get it wrong, remove it straight away before it hardens, although not a major problem as it will eventually come out. Any overfill should be smoothed off and removed. It is only a temporary fill and not fix. It can keep food debris out, prevent anything touching a nerve and thus relieve pain. You may need to repeat application depending on where it is used. For me it was on my molar on a side that I chew the most and absentmindedly eaten on that side and broken the repair twice – will someone take these peanuts away from me! It can easily break off, but it is only designed to be a fix until you get to see a dentist within a few days. Unfortunately, whoever stated this clearly doesn’t have an NHS dentist with a backlog of 6 weeks. Bottom line – can save you a lot of pain and is a good enough fix until you can get a permanent repair. Might be something to take on holidays from now on.

I would look for something else
I was using very little at a time to help build the broken tooth up. It did eventually work out but it took ages to do this as it wouldn't set. I used the tool supplied to take what I needed from the small tub but the tool was useless to apply to the tooth. I found using a finger much better and made a bridge attached to neighbouring teeth to help secure in place. The product is far too soft for any durability but maybe this would last longer depending on where in the mouth it is applied. I had a broken tooth on the bottom front and I knew it wouldn't last long, I managed to get 28 hours of use being very careful with what I ate or drank. I was pain free during this time. If you have a dentist this might help you while you wait for an appointment. I still am looking for a dentist and looks like I will just have to live with the broken tooth for a while longer.

Not good for cutting edges of teeth. More for holes in back teeth.
I must be using it wrong, take small amount using my fore finger and thumb roll it in to a ball then force in to the area in your tooth you want to fix as a temporary filling. After a day or two at most, it comes out as it breaks down in very small pieces.
