Can the blade be adjusted with screwdriver to zero the blade so it cuts less than 0.5mm?

It doesnt look like it can on mine. I used to get my hair cut with no guard on the clippers at my local barbers but i use this with the lowest comb on it. Cuts very short. Probably as short as the barbers. Havent tried it with no comb which would be shorter still. Takes a lot to impress me but this clipper is great. You wont regret buying it. Hope that helps.

Can this product do a zero (0) length cut?

Yes! I've used these clippers for years now and before I had a longer beard I used to use it on my head and face with no plastic spacer at all. (Think you'd be hard pushed to cut yourself with it). Still leaves a very short stubble / hair but that's what I was after any way. Really are the best clippers I've ever had.

Can it be used to shape around the ears and back of neck.

Yes it can be used without the guard comb to shape the edges.I find with number one guard it almost shapes itself around the ears...
