Ironman Klassische 41mm Digitaluhr für Herren T5K821

Twenty years ago, my wife & I spent an enjoyable summer vacation travelling around Canada, when unfortunately Sod's Law struck at a most inconvenient moment, causing my dependable old LCD wristwatch to go 'belly-up' and fail completely. Obviously I was left with no choice but to go shopping in a bit of a hurry, but thankfully managed to obtain a suitably inexpensive Timex. Over the next decade or so, eventually a section of the outer front protective casework material gradually began to erode away on one side and subsequently it's interior became porous, with predictable results. With a longer period of time to evaluate rather more carefully, on this occasion I opted for the Timex Ironman T5K821 Quartz Classic 30 Lap Watch, with LCD Dial Digital Display and Resin Strap. It's a direct replacement for my old watch and not only features a clearer display, but perhaps more importantly has significantly larger numerals, which I can now read without wearing spectacles, because unsurprisingly my eyesight (aged mid-60's) is not as sharp as it once was ! When compared with models from some well respected competitors, the relatively restrained design of this watch does not seem nearly as 'chunky' as other ones when strapped to my wrist. I also appreciate the fact that the weekday can be displayed first, followed in a logical sequence by the month, which is the method I personally prefer to the opposite one commonly adopted by American consumers. In my opinion, it's overall appearance also seems far less 'garish' than many devices of a similar nature, which often have a tendency of veering towards the lurid end of the spectrum. In fact I was so impressed that I've actually ordered another one and shall remove the battery when it arrives and then store the watch carefully away, until such time as the original fails ! All things considered, I can highly recommend this product *****

Great watch, clear display without glasses. However I have now sold as the strap irritated my wrist. I do have a large wrist though. Watch on second notch on strap. If your normal size I’m sure it would not be a problem.

Great look for a digital watch: round with 4 buttons sticking out, in all-black. Screen easy to read. Design of LCD numbers better-looking than other brands. Plenty of functions, including option to display date as date:month or month:date. Can pre-set dates for occasions reminders, e.g. birthdays. Comfortable to wear. End of strap clicks into the loop: excellent idea, means that the strap doesn't slip out of the loop when wearing.

I bought this watch for its multiple, easily audible alarms and clear display. The watch is perfect for my requirements, with three daily/weekday/weekend alarms, occasion reminders for birthdays, etc., a 24-hour countdown timer, a chronograph and three time zones. An hourly chime can also be set, if needed, and there is an 'Indiglo' button-operated backlight. Water resistance is 100m. The strap is very comfortable and the entire watch/strap combination is quite light, so it can be worn 24/7. I am delighted with the item.

First of all, what I love about this watch: It has a very well-balanced size, easily readable numbers and letters, attractive hardware, it's lightweight, feature-packed, and features a metal buckle (which is essential, unlike many Casio watches). The curved strap lugs smoothly guide it around the wrist. Although most of the watch is made of plastic, the plastic is of good quality. There are plenty of tutorials about setting the watch on YouTube; I recommend you go there right away to save time instead of reading a small instruction manual. The downside is the INDIGLO light. It's nothing like the iconic light that made the watch famous. Instead of lighting up the entire screen, it only illuminates the numbers and letters. Why is this a problem? It's not bright enough in situations when it's not entirely dark but rather dim. There is simply not enough light, and in such situations, the light becomes useless. However, at night, this feature works fine. My $12 SKMEi watch lights up the screen as if there's no tomorrow. Take note, TIMEX. Is this a deal-breaker? It depends. If your eyesight is not the best and you use it in somewhat dim conditions, then YES, it is a deal-breaker.

Excelente reloj para hacer ejercicio o para el diario, no es tan resistente como un Casio G Shock, pero se queda muy cerca, es una cómodo en la muñeca, ligero, y si se mancha de sudor, lo puedes lavar con toda confianza.
