Fibre Optics Fountain (Colour Changing)

I love this item all my gran children love it too brings back memories from when they first came onto the market although not great material it's been handled a lot and still intact and working, good value.

My fibre optic fountain arrived in good time,poorly wrapped. Very tacky blue plastic base which Id have easily overlooked considering the very low price. However the part which holds the batteries was broken and would not hold the batteries. The company wanted photos before they would offer any help. Hmmmmm how to take a photo of a 'fally outy' battery was beyond me and not worth the hassle. Luckily I have a friend who is an electrician and he managed to get it working for me. The heart button on the base is how you change the colours and speed etc (I mention this as I had not noticed that at all, no instructions come with) So, with no help from the company, I now have it working and its very pretty. But I'm not sure its pretty enough to warrant all the hassle. The one star goes to my friendly electrician who only charged me a bag of sweets.But for him it would be still in the bucket. I've noticed that the majority of comments are negative regarding this item. Mine aren't completely positive, but (let's be honest) you can't even buy a DRINK for what this product costs.a) The bases are NOT chrome, they are plastic. I bought two and one is green, the other red, and yes, they're flimsy to fit the batteries.b) The sprays do not change colour automatically but by switching on/off/on the colours do change.c) The middle battery is awkward to fit and drops once the base is closed, so you have to start again. BUT!!!d) By using a bit of kitchen foil, the connection of the middle battery is greatly improved.e) One reviewer said that the spray fell to one side, making the display uneven. I've not had this, both sprays stand vertically.f) Before closing the bases I put a small piece of cardboard on top of the batteries to stop them moving and losing connection.g) The display IS pretty. It doesn't give a huge amount of illumination, but whoever bought a fibre optic spray to read by?All in all, it is a cheap novelty, but with a bit of Hogwarts it works ok. I WOULD recommend that the Vendor alter one or two things in their advert. wording, eg. 'chrome base', but I don't regret buying the two I have.

I had one of these lamps that I bought a long time ago and it finally gave up the ghost - although it had withstood two cats knocking it onto the floor on many occasions :-)I looked at the fibre optic lamps available on Amazon and plumped for this one, because it looked identical to the one I had, except this new one was colour-changing.I cannot fault the seller. It was dispatched in super-quick time. However, I was a bit disappointed in the product. I paid about a couple of pounds for my old lamp. It was well-made and there were plenty of optical fibres. The new lamp is more cheaply made, although costs more. The base had a few scratches on it and soon developed more with handling. The optical fibres are a bit sparse and will not spread out like my old lamp.I would have returned the lamp, but, with a bit of super glue, I managed to get the battery/LED bit into the base of my old lamp, so now I have my old lamp as good as new, but with extra colours! Yippee!

Cheap and cheerful, but that's what you get for <£1.As per other reviews, the fibres do come out easily, but just be careful as once it's setup, you don't really need to touch them. The base is really thin, but takes the batteries fine and the batteries give it enough weight to be stable. There's a small switch for changing colours as well which is nice.All in all it's a bit of a cheap plastic, but it works fine and my Daughter loves it as a night light. Batteries seem to last quite a while so far.Go for it, but don't expect the quality to be great

Not fit for purpose - don't waste your money. I would give it zero stars if I could - both the product and the seller.It took over 2 months for it to arrive, and it is absolutely unusable. No instructions or manual, so no guidance on what batteries should be used. You can't fit 3 AA batteries in it, and 3AAA batteries are too small and fall out of place the second you close the cover. So you can't get it to work. Absolute rubbish. Just threw it in the bin and bought another product that actually works. Couldn't even bother to try to send it back, as it took so long to arrive.

Only very small fibres were bent and all falling the same way . Got for grandchildren but looks cheap so ended up with them in our home on the plus side they do brighten up the living room.

This feels weak, it feels flimsy. However, this is a lovely fibre optic light. Colour changes blue, green & purple. Not major room lighting strength but perfect for a sensory corner etc. Our daughter gets a lot of calming use out of this its lovely to hold, run fingers through.Probably wouldn't be robust enough for a kiddy with ADHD (trust me we know) or even extra curious kids :)We thought why not buy and if nots for her then we haven't wasted anything. If it works payout for more robust one but to be honest we are grand with this one.

Also,die Verpackung war unter aller Kanone.ich wundere mich dass das Lämpchen heile ankam.Aber es funktioniert und sieht super aus.Auch die Batterien passen in das Fach.!!!die verschiedenen Modi funktionieren auch....und es ist ein Highlight für diesen Preis.Der Plastikfuß in rot ist allerdings nicht so schön...da sollte man eher weis nehmen.....aber für den Preis einfach Top.!!!

El modelo que me llegó se tuerce hacia un lado porque en el transporte vino doblado y no hay forma que rectifique.Cuando lo consigues poner bien queda chulo. Lo malo es que se sueltan las fibras.

fibre optique fragile et cassées au déballage si elles sont pas toutes cassées pendant le transport......pas lumineux assez car pas assez de fibres en bon état .....gardez vos sous pour autre chose !

Hab diese Dinger (Glasfaserlampen) gekauft.. dabei gemerkt das sie aus China geliefert wurden.Ic h habe nichts gegen ein Produkt aus anderen Ländern, dann muss man dafür sorgen das Qualität angeboten wird. Das war hiernicht der Fall. Bei allen zwei gekauften waren die Batteriekammern nicht passend. (Drei AA Batterien )Dabei stand dieser Mangel an Qualität schon seit langen in anderen Kundenrezensionen. Zwischendurch mal ne positive. Aber meist negativ. Die positiven Rezensionen lasen sich so abenteuerlich.. das einen das Lachen kam.Viele anderen Kunden bestätigten diesen Mangel und Amazon tat nichts dergleichen.. um daran was zu ändern.Nur das Geld zählt und nicht die Zufriedenheit der Kunden.Und deswegen Bewertung ganz weit untenMit freundlichen GrüßenPet
