This appears to work well. It's expensive, but I wanted to leave 5 stars to show that it works. No, it's not a 5 minute test. You could probably do it in 5, if it wasn't for the fact you have to wait for the blotting paper to dry completely - so in warm weather I would suggest about 30 mins, which is what it took me. Either way, no big deal. I had 4 unidentified "sample" areas to test on an item of clothing. Plus one sample area on the same item of clothing that I knew should be positive when tested, if you get my drift. The 4 did not test positive. The sample that should have been positive, was. I repeated the tests a few days later and got the same results. The blotting paper on which you conduct the test is meant to turn purple almost immediately if it is positive. My positive sample did turn purple quickly, but it wasn't quite as dramatic as you might think - so pay attention when you're doing this. It's a shame this test is so expensive, but it does seem to work.

I had guessed my other half had been cheating on me. One day she stopped out all night and changed her clothes the following morning whilst I was at work. She had left her pants from the night before in the washing basket. I put the offending article in a sealed plastic bag, ordered the kit the same day, then carried out the test on the offending article the following evening when she was at work. I disinfected the area first and made sure nothing could contaminate the test. I tested my own using the kit first and the result was positive. I then tried the test on saliva, water, vicks inhaler and blood on an old T shirt to make sure the test was working. The results for those samples were all negative. I then did the test on two places on my ex girlfriends undergarment, the gusset and the front. The test came up positive for the gusset. Banged to rights! Checkmate when done correctly really does work. Dont get me wrong, i'm gutted after 9 years that my ex could have unprotected sex on a one night stand which she later admitted, but I'm glad I havent got to live with a cheating moose anymore, and also living in fear she would do it again without me knowing. 10/10 for checkmate, a trustworthy product.

Older version much easier to use!

So I've tested as did some other men on here. It does work. I even tried rubbing on dry surface and it showed positive result and it appears within 2-4s. Was lucky enough that where I had my suspicions, it turned out they were faulty.

First of all this test is not a 5-minute test, you have to play around with the solutions, mix them and apply them to some test patches that then do not provide any significant indicator that a test is positive or not. The colors do not significantly change one way or the other. How do I know because I did a real test and nothing showed up to compare with the original that I was evaluating.

It works but almost two months delay with delivery.
