A perfectly good mains socket
It's a mains socket. What can you say about it except it looks ok, it fits the pattress and does what it's supposed to! Feels strurdy enough to last a good while as well.
User
Electric switched socket.
Standard wall socket that meets UK standards. Easy enough to swap over as the fittings are standard. Always isolate the electricity before commencing any work on electric sockets.

No red tab on switch toggle.
The switched socket I received has no red tab on the switch toggle as shown in the picture. It does have a faint "ON" word that can't be seen straight on, if you shine a light sideways on it you can, but that isn't any use. Unfortunately I didn't have time to send it back as I needed to use it right away, otherwise I would have.I have given three stars because it functions, but isn't what thought I had purchased.
