I'm using a gas soldering iron to solder thin alarm cable, i find the solder doesn't stick to the wire and keeps rolling off, will this product help?

I found that corrosion of the wire is what causes solder not to stick. Cleaning the copper with sandpaper until it is bright and shiney should fix it. I also tried soaking the wire end in a solution of vinegar and salt for 10 minutes. Then dunk the wire end in baking soda and water to neutralize the acid and stop further corrosion. I did not find that the flux was the fix.

Somehow I thought I was ordering tinning paste, but landed up ordering this. Would this work for tinning tips?

No it is acid based and I read on a document you should not use acid based paste. There is tinning pastes on sale for approx £5

Is this OK to use for soldering rc battery bullets?

I know it's late but yes, you can use this for bullets, I've soldered bullet connectors with and without flux. It will work fine

Is this suitable for silver solder for Flame soldering brass to brass?

I have used it for soldering in model railway work with wiring and it helped. It was a recommended solder for model railway work. We did try to solder some silver jewellery without success
