Does this fit bmx chain

BMX chains are usually wider than MTB so they don't work well with derailers but should work fine with any chain tool.

Will this work on a 12 speed?

I haven't tried, but I'm fairly sure, from what I've seen of 12 speed chains, that this is too chunky. Also, some of them need the part that peens the end of the connecting pin, so you're best using a dedicated tool that's up to the job, like the Park CT 3.3 (or 4.3 with the peening anvil)

says it works with 7 8 9 10 speed chain, i have a late 1990s saracen 24 speed mtb will this work with this?

This worked perfectly with my rusty old Shimano 24 speed chain on my 1997 Saracen Maxtrax. Great tool when used properly.

Would this be good to break a bead on a tyre

Think about it! Clue is in the name... chain! Not a tyre bead breaker....
