It is the perfect set of tools and ingredients to experiment and learn how the ingredients work. The quantity is enough for repeat trials and not too much in case you decide only to continue using a few or none. You also need to buy the book separately, which they could have included in the kit.... and an isi gourmet whipper is also worth the investment. I am satisfied as it meets the expectations and the purpose: a starter kit to experiment and get a practical understanding of molecular cuisine. As mentioned, you need to add a book that provides proper insight and easy to follow recipes. My first trial was already a success: Mix 400ml of canned or fresh mango with 200 ml of rich coconut milk and one gram of xantangum powder in a blender and then put in dessert cups and let to rest in the refrigerator. It will be a custard consistency. If you put it in an isis gourmet whipper you can increase the fluffiness to a very light whipped cream of mango and coconut.

Needed this kit for an upcoming event and was totally gutted as the security seal was broken and the weighing scales removed. No time to return so have had to purchase some micro scales elsewhere. Surely if you seal your products they must be checked before dispatch. The quality of the goods are very good so for the sake of not receiving the scales I’ve knocked off 2 stars. 😢

This kit is soooo cool, I was just as excited when I got a chemistry set as a kid. Its a great price for someone who just wants to experiment without shelling out a small fortune.

Bought as a gift. No indication on the outer box that refrigeration was required. The specific item’s pot did state that it had to be stored refrigerated but it was inside the box and not very obvious so only realised once we opened the sealed pot to find it spoilt. Would have been 4-5 stars if this had been clearly stated.
