Miracle cure - I'm able to Trek again
I hardly ever write reviews but felt this product has improved my quality of life so much that other people need to know about it. I'm only 27 but suffer with knee pain following a motorcycle accident 5 years ago that broke my left knee. I sustained bone and soft tissue injuries and was told my knee would never be the same again - it isn't- and that arthritis would set in early- it has. Even low intensity activities can cause serious pain. One of my main loves in life was hiking, unfortunately even short walks could trigger bad knee pain, so I thought I would have to give up my favourite hobby. Searching online forums for any knee advice for hiking, I was recommended this knee brace. I purchased one 3 years ago and it's been a true miracle cure. By this I mean, I have been COMPLETELY PAIN FREE WHILST HIKING!!! Which I never thought was possible. Infact, I'm currently in Nepal, and have just finished the Annapurna Circuit, walking for 17 days in a row, over 130 miles in total across mountains, carrying all my own bags. My knee is completely fine. Obviously I take it easy and listen to my body, and could've probably walked faster before my accident. However, to do such an intense hike without any pain is a true blessing. This product is comfortable enough to wear for 8 hours hiking a day, offers incredible support to the joint and is such amazing value for money - its great quality - it's lasted years and still is as good as new. I've also combined this product with exercises to target my muscles that support my knee - Quads, calves, hip abductor and glutes especially - as a support is just one answer to the complex problem of knee pain. There are great books available for self help exercises for knee pain such as "bulletproof your knee". But this support has played a VITAL role in my achieving my dream and completing a long distance trek in Nepal, and I hope it helps similar people with knee problems too. :)

Good, but not brilliant.
I haven't got a large knee area and it's within the measurement recommended, but the centre strap is only just long enough. Otherwise it's comfy and provides some support. Not sure how long it will last as there isn't an opposite velcro area for the straps to lock on to, they just secure onto anywhere on the sleeve.

Huge help for massive physical challenge
I bought this as I love keeping fit but now I am over 50 my knee is sometimes a bit problematic. I wanted a support to help me with the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge and this really helped, wore it for the whole 11 hours of the trek and although my knee twinged occasionally it felt very well supported and the knee brace fitted well. For reference I am petite but the support fitted me fine.

Good fit
It’s great to wear. But I find that I need something under it as it makes my skin itchy. Good support.

It also seemed like it was holding my knee a lot better before ...
I have had an issue with my left knee since birth and having just taken up running, it has become very clear, very quickly that my knee prefers to work at a slower pace! After running 5k it was in complete agony to the point I struggled to work for the next couple of days. Initially I put this down to it being the first time I had run 5k and just being unfit. After 5 or 6 runs though I started to think it was more likely that it was an issue with my knee as it was the only part of my body that hurt. Initially I put a compression sleeve type support which you pulled up over the knee, however after the first run it irritated me that much that I had to return it for a refund! Not only did it not support my knee at all, it constantly fell down while running. After returning it though I found this item. I ordered it late on a Thursday afternoon and it turned up first thing on Friday morning thanks to Amazon Prime next day delivery (how on earth did I ever cope without next day delivery! Amazon Prime is worth every penny, but that's a different story). When I went for a run on Sunday, the first thing I noticed was that due to the Velcro straps, it was a lot easier to put on and tighten up than the compression sleeve had been. It also seemed like it was holding my knee a lot better before I even started running. About 3k in, where my knee would have normally started to hurt, I hadn’t even noticed any pain. Needless to say, by the time I had finished the 5k there was a slight pain, but nowhere near as bad as previous and within a few minutes of stopping the pain had completely gone. As I don’t intend to run more than 5k any time soon this is perfect for me as it has effectively stopped the pain. The only negative I will give this product is that although it is “breathable” to a certain extent, it obviously does make your leg sweat a little, especially as you want it nice and tight. I’ve done about 10 x 5k runs with it now and I’m amazed at the difference it has made. It’s decreased my 5k time by about 3 minutes on its own! After a few runs with the strap, I tried again without it and found myself in pain again. I decided to try wearing the strap after and for the following day to see if it would speed up the recovery. I think it probably did – it certainly seemed to take the stain off it – however it is not the most comfortable thing to wear under jeans/trousers, so not sure I would recommend for everyday use – although the uncomfortableness of it was far less than the pain I would have normally been in – so if my knee gets bad again, I may consider it.

I twisted and strained my knee. To stabilize the knee, I began to wear an elastic knee sleeve that I already had. After two days, I noticed that my lower leg had swollen to about twice its normal size, and I had trouble removing the elastic sleeve. I then ordered the Bracoo knee support brace. At first, because it was so comfortable, it felt that the brace had slipped off my knee (which it had not). The Bracoo knee support brace stays in place, is comfortable to wear, and most importantly provides good support and stability for my knee. So easy to put on and remove using three velcro straps - takes fewer than 30 seconds. No removing shoes and slipping a sleeve over your foot and up your ankle. Also, this brace has not caused any swelling in my leg. I have worn this knee support brace for several days and it has not once slipped out of place. I recommend the Bracoo knee support brace.
