Defender Bird Spikes | Narrow Plastic Pigeon Deterrent | 5 Metre Pack

We bought this just over 2 years ago as we put up a climbing frame for the kids and the pigeons and their other bird friends decided to treat it as their toilet 😬. Sick of scrubbing poo off the swings I wanted something that wasn't a danger to my kids (so no metal spikes), something that didn’t make my garden look like a retail park with a pest problem, and something to stop the birds but not hurt them - we have 4 trees in our garden, you'd think the birds would get a conscience lol. Anyway, this has lasted brilliantly until the storms a few weeks back and the middle bit blew off and guess what, there is this one pigeon giving me sass and deliberately (and with a bit of talent) landing smack bang in the gap and doing it's business on the swing! Well I say no more Mr (or Mrs Pigeon), I'm buying another pack of this excellent stuff. Take your crap somewhere else! EXCELLENT PRODUCT 🐦🫡

Happy with them.Did the job,no droppings on the balcony for 10 days.I fitted them on the rail and a central heating long pipe outlet on the balcony (pigeons' favorite place, esp. in winter as it's usually worm). All neighbours came to look at spikes and asked me where I got them.Delivery was fast and a package was very good (a box with a cute picture!). A couple of things to mention. Everyone here is talking about a movie so I assumed that an included disc was DVD and throw it into my mighty Panasonic,got a message "wrong format",then realized that it's MPG file written on the CD and could be opened only on a computer (Windows Media Player would do it). Another thing is that at first I was a bit disappointed when I opened the box and didn't find anything to fix spikes with (I was under impression that "they are ready to install" which meant for me I wouldn't need anything else). But then realized that sellers did absolutely right thing!They gave us a choice as they don't know where buyers need to put spikes.Anyone, who wants them on the roof/fence,can go for another a bit more expensive deal "Spikes with glue" then glue will be in the box.I preferred to fix them with cable ties.Here an advice - don't cut cable ties' ends (of course if there's any left!), direct them upwards and you'll have extra little spikes! Overall positive experience!!!!

Quite easy to install - just buy yourself some exterior grade silicone sealant, and squeeze a thin strip along the bottom of each piece (about 200mm long), then place on the window ledge or whatever and press down. The silicon squeezes throuhg small holes in the plastic base, and when cured, holds the spikes quite firmly. So far, it seems to be doing its job on the balcony railings of our apartment; the pigeons no longer land and use the balcony as a toilet. It's relatively unobtrusive (I bought the clear spikes). It remains to be seen how durable the product is. The plastic from which the spikes and base are made seems quite rigid and could break easily if subject to a heavy bird landing or somebody leaning against it. It's been up for about 2 weeks, and so far no damage.

Perfect for the job of keeping the pigeons off of your fence etc. Surprisingly obtrusive, given that they are clear plastic material, but that's the compromise you have to accept - a long line of theses thing sticking up, or pigeon muck all down your newly painted fence panels! Not sure I agree that gluing on, or screwing the only fixing method, as I used small non-corroding nails on mine, as this was more practical. I don't think the ones I received were not as displayed, as these are straight line as opposed to the zigzag configuration I saw. However, this doesn't seem to be a issue, as you get the coverage lengthways, if not quite the same width ways, which could mean you have to fit two sections on a wide ledge as opposed to only one. Nice and easy to split as the have convenient break points in them, so there's no need for a saw or knife to separate a section where it is too long for the ledge or fence top. One tip. If you have any trellis work that is above the fence line, don't continue on the fence, put spike on trellis, as birds will still sit on trellis if they can avoid top of spikes! Always go for the highest point of the area belong protected, even if it doesn't look quite as neat and tidy. Instruction video, interesting, but not really sure it's needed, given how simple these things are to install, but good on him for taking the time to do it, as some people may find it more helpful to see a demo than read a bit of paper.

Does the job but not as robust as dearer metal spikes.Value for money. Still get kamikazi pidgeons attempting to land... important to get good fixing/adhesive.

We live in a raised ground floor flat with an iron balcony overlooking a three acre communal gardens. At this time of year the pigeons like to sit on the balcony railings as they fly to and from their nesting and roosting spots in the trees leaving behind their messy droppings. I ordered a box of pigeon spikes and have attached them to the railings with cable ties. The spikes are not attractive to look but as we are going away for several weeks we didn't want to come back and find the pigeons had taken over. It was very very easy to attach the spikes. The box of spikes come in several strips about two feet long. When we get back the main nesting season will be over so we will remove the spikes. Will definitely buy again.

I have purchased this item twice before. I have a problem with feral pigeons making a mess on my property this stops them in there tracks. Fitted easily and durable, they humanely deter the pigeons from settling on Roofs, gutters and glass houses thus preventing them fouling the area treated and being transparent are easy on the eye. I now have some undamaged but depressed pigeons and a clean house and garden.

Sono perfetti . Non si notano e i piccioni non si posano sul balcone . Si possono anche mettere su superfici tubolari con le striscette trasparenti che li bloccano alla perfezione

article intéressant et solide, nécessaire pour les pigeons qui ne viennent plus sur mon balcon mais attention il ne faut pas laisser un espace vide car les pigeons le repèrent et viennent se poser entre les piques.
