I first bought this item three years ago and it does the job. I decided not to splash to heavily on a lock because I thought if someone is going to steal a bike and break a lock, they will do it with whatever lock is on the bike. Although this not be entirely true, I still have my bike and the lock has been brilliant. Unfortunately, the key broke in the lock after having the lock and key for three years and the key had seemed to become very malleable and weak, which may reflect the quality and durability. However, this has not stopped me buying the lock for a second time, costing less than £5 and I have had it since the start of January and its seems that it will last for another couple of years (currently as good as new). Therefore, if you are looking for a good bike lock for a very good price I see no reason not to buy this bike lock and even if it does break after several years, as was the case for me, its cheaper enough to buy a new one. One last comment, I had no difficult in locking the bike frame with the front wheel and the object I was locking it too, it coil was longer enough for the job, although it may struggle to reach both wheels comfortably.

To cut a long story short, this is a great buy. But if you want more specific answers, read on... The product arrived on time and I was happy with it straight away. It has a lovely weight to it, however it is light enough to carry around in your bag, on your bike etc. There are two keys and both work perfectly well, it is always reassuring and handy to have a back-up! You would be silly to think 'It's too cheap, I'll get a more expensive one that will be better.' Don't be fooled by the price, it does the job perfectly well, it is genuinely a very good price! Would recommend to anyone wanting a trusty, cheap bike lock. ps. If my bike gets stolen I will be very embaressed, but I will write another review :)

Nice lock still have and use it.

This is not something you could trust an expensive bike with at a railway station all day with. But if you want to deterr opportunistic thieves when you've left your bike for a short while, it's fine. It's longer than I expected, or needed. Good key (x2), solid lock and reasonable thickness cable. A mini angle grinder or bolt cutter will have this off in no time, but so long as you know its limitations, it's great for what it is. Lighter than a D Lock, more flexible and easier to carry about. Good product.

I bought this security lock for my mobility scooter. I live in a town where unfortunately some people think it’s ok to mess around with an unattended mobility scooter. This security lock is sturdy & gives me some peace of mind when I’m enjoying a cuppa in a cafe or have caught the train & left my scooter at the station. There’s 2 keys so if I do lose one, I have a spare. It’s quite long when uncoiled & i would definitely recommend for bikes, etc

Urgh. In the beginning it seemed great. The length was a massive advantage as I could lock my bike around lamposts so you weren't struggling too much to find somewhere to put the bike safe. However it was not good overall. I work nights so I leave my electeltric bike outside locked up in the cold winter nights. Even though my bike was OK this lock got affected and got stiffer. Then last night my key was stuck in the lock! As the key snapped as it got weaker and bent rather than turn and had before become hard to insert. So I had to take bus home and see how to remove key and pick lock so I can get my bike back! To be fair there were 2 keys but 1 I lost with my house keys a month ago. Maybe my keys are cursed!

I cannot fault this padlock. I have been using it for a very long time now, and works really well. The tough plastic coating seems like it could withstand a lot, and it's a nice weight. The lock itself is great. Master produce fantastic locks, and if you do have an issue, like rust or corrosion, they should replace it, which is a bonus. The only thing I have not tried is to break into it. It's not going to be easy to pick. I did actually see one of these padlocks attached to a wheel of a bike, which was attached to a bike rail. Now that shows it's a good strong lock, sadly the rest of the bike was missing, but the wheel was still there.

Good product, it does his job properly and is a totally good catch for the price. After leaving my bike outside a few days exposed to the North England humid weather it got rusty and eventually stopped working. However it is just something that happens I guess, so I bought the same one again.

Compre este candado para la bicicleta y su función de atar la bici para que no te la roben la cumple, la llave funciona, todo funciona bien, ademas viene con dos llaves, por si se te pierde alguna directamente para otra persona, lo que quieras. No se si me habran intentado robar la bici, pero yo al menos no la he intentado cortar para ver su dureza pero ya para el tacto se nota que funciona perfectamente, buen precio.
