ZEISS VR ONE Plus - Virtual Reality Glasses with Multi Tray, 2174-931

Good product but no correction for myopia

Image quality and comfort are great but the complete lack of additional features don't justify the insanely high price tag

I bought this for use with my DJI Phantom 4. I use an iPhone 7 Plus and I (sort of) justified the high cost on these being by Zeiss. I guessed initially that 90% of the cost must have gone on the lens judging from the plastic surround but, hey, it has to be light weight. The instructions are brief as there isn't much to do to assemble before use: fit head straps and insert 'phone into the provided tray. Luckily I had yet to invest in a VR app specifically for my 'phone and Phantom so I used the DJI-supplied one (albeit not intended for use with VR). There was a problem right from the start, the goggles only display the centre part of the 'phones screen so anything that was around the edge was missing, a large portion. What remained visible suffered from considerable chromatic aberration with a distinctive rainbow bleed to the left of any graphics and text that could be seen. I looked in vain for any other adjustment to step the 'phone further out to make more of the display visible and read the instructions a further number of times to see if there was anything I had missed but wasn't able to find anything. I've boxed them back up and they are being posted back for a refund tomorrow.

This does not work with the iPhone 6 The focal length is incorrect for the screen and the left eye piece is looking at the left edge of the screen and the right aye at the right edge of the screen No stereoscopic or 3D image can be formed Perhaps mine was incorrectly manufactured but as there was no way to adjust the PD or the focal length it was useless I bought the correct tray for the iPhone 6 but could only see half the screen and i have perfect stereoscopic vision and understand optics

Well made with good quality lenses. Only missing a button for control of iPhone in Google Cardboard. Universal tray works perfectly with iPhone 6. Plus.

I am very pleased with this item, totally immersive experience, 3D features are excellent, you feel as if you are actually there, after 10 minutes, I had to take headset off though and give my eyes a break, as I felt a little bit sick, excellent product though!

Qualità delle lenti ottima! L'ho utilizzo con un Huawei P9, ma l'ho provata anche con un I-phone 6 e 6 Plus, funziona perfettamente, design molto bello! Comoda e facile da mettere, per utilizzare le opzioni del cellulare da remoto è necessario un telecomando che bisogna prendere a parte, ma la qualità che ha sul mercato è il migliore!

Die Anleitung ist auf Englisch und durch die vielen Bilder selbsterklärend. Geliefert wurde mir: Die VR ONE Plus Brille mit Handyschale, zwei abnehmbare Kopfbänder und eine Anleitung. -Verarbeitung & Design- Das Gehäuse als auch das Kopfband wirken sehr wertig und robust. Der Kunststoff des Gehäuses scheint kratzfest und recht strapazierfähig. Die Linsen sehen auf den ersten Blick auch hochwertig aus. Die Region mit dem Schaumstoffpolster sowie Belüftung erinnern an eine Ski-Brille. Es wackelt oder scheppert nicht wenn man sie schüttelt. Das Design ist futuristisch und in klarem schwarz-weiß gehalten. -VR Test- Vorab muss gesagt werden, dass die VR Qualität ganz stark von a. der Display Auflösung des eingelegten Smartphones und b. von der Qualität des angesehenen Materiales abhängt. DIe VR One ist meine erste VR Brille. Ich habe die VR ONE Plus sowohl mit meinem iPhone 6 als auch mit dem Samsung Galaxy s8 Plus eines Freundes getestet. Obwohl das s8 Plus mit seinen 6,2“ Zoll nicht geeignet ist laut der 5,5“ Zoll Grenze des Herstellers passt es ohne weiteres hinein und bietet eine beeindruckende Erfahrung. Ansonsten lässt sich das Smartphone problemlos in die Halterung einsetzen. Dann lädt man sich die Google Cardboard App runter. Aus der App lädt man sich mit dem QR Code auf der Verpackung die Einstellungen für die VR One Plus herunter. Dann kann es los gehen. Ich habe mir als erstes 3D Videos auf Youtube angesehen, man vergisst völlig die Zeit und alles drumherum. Man hat wirklich das Gefühl, als würde der weiße Hai an einem vorbeiziehen und man kann spielend die Umgebung erkunden. Die Abhängigkeit vom Smartphone wurde im Kontrast von s8 Plus zu iPhone 6 sehr deutlich, da dass um einiges moderner s8 Plus eine viel höhere Display Auflösung besitzt und somit das Bild um einiges besser war. Beim iPhone6 ist die Vergrößerung so scharf und deutlich, dass die Pixel zu erkennen sind. Bei allem Lob hat die Brille aber auch eine Schwäche: während das Smartphone in die VR Brille eingelegt ist bietet sich kein Spielraum mehr um das geschehen zu steuern. D.h. wenn man das Video wechseln möchte oder ein Spiel steuern will benötigt man hierzu einen separaten Controller. -Fazit- Hochwertige und unkomplizierte VR Brille, die ideal zum Ansehen von 3d Videos ist. Man muss nur kurz auf Play drücken und schon kann man sich in einem VR Video verlieren. Ohne Controller ist die Bedienung der VR ONE Plus aber etwas umständlich, hoffentlich bessert Zeiss hier noch nach. Ich würde die VR One Plus wieder kaufen.

After much research..took a leap of faith and ordered the item..it"s zeiss afterall..i was expecting something to go wrong with the delivery and it did...the seller for some reason, removed the augmented reality cube from the box...but zeiss has given an alternative. Coming to the technical side..i got my money's worth. The build quality is decent. The straps are very good but the stiching may rub on the ears. The universal phone tray is adaptive and i have no problems in fitting my lg v40 thinq. The lenses are the highlight and does it's job. The pupil distance adjusts itself. The images are clear and the pixels show themselves clearly even with q.hd display. I learnt that maximum clarity and smoothness can be attained with a real 4k resolution phone which is some time away. Even then , not to expect the experience standalone headsets provide with their dedicated hardware and software. The cushioning is good but there is serious fogging problem. The lenses sit directly above the large nose cavity and no padding is given there. But that can be solved by sitting in a airy place. Recommend the product.
