I cant get an Ethernet cable from the dvr to my router(opposite side of the house) , will a T P link AV500 Powerline Ethernet plug in  adapter

this will be used 15 meters from ocean, a highly corrosive area. any recommendations for protecting equipments? any thoughts?

If I were going to install near salty environment I would recommend the cameras are installed inside sealed clear dome, otherwise they will be ruined very quickly because the lense and LEDs are exposed. I think even the camera body would corrode very quickly.

Question 3

I have this system from yourself and I can only get 2 cams to playback in playback mode the other 6 cams are shaded but all 4 show as recording ? .

Only 2 cameras can be selected for playback at any one time. Go to the playback screen, there you will see on the lower right hand numbered squares 1 - 8. Deselect any highlighted numbers, then select only 2 numbers of cameras you wish to view. In the date/ day box click on the date you wish to view. Along the bottom of the screen you will see 2 yellow time lines, click on one of these and the 2 camera images in playback mode appear. You can then click on any time period you wish to view using the time lines. To view other Cameras you must click the square stop button, then deselect rhe cameras you have viewed, on rhe bottom right of the screen. You can now select 2 more to view.

can i use it without an internet connection

you can use without internet. It will still rcord to hard drive. If connected to the internet you can use apps on mobile and check on cameras anywhere. Also can use email alerts if connected to internet. Hope this helps. Also very easy to set up.
