Great mat. Stays in place, but easy to move when lifted. Nice depth to it so comfortable to lie on. I bought another one and am very happy with my purchases. Good value for money. Would recommend for a home gym.

This is a well made product that will work well in many gym applications but not all. While a decent width & length it is quite thin, exactly what I needed, but not ideal for placing heavy equipment like running machines on carpet. I use it for skipping. It protects the wooden floor beneath & provides some cushioning to help lessen wear on my feet & ankles. The rubberised top is excellent and it has a synthetic finish underneath that prevents slipping. It’s easy to keep clean and easy to roll up & carry about or put away, ( roll it up, not fold it as this will leave creases). If you’re using it to protect a floor when using weights or a press bench then it will serve you well. For exercising you may want to consider a more padded design as this will only provide limited protection for your body against a hard surface. For the specific uses I’ve mentioned this is excellent value for money. For larger machinery & stuff like aerobics you would be better looking elsewhere.

This is a super size mat. It's doesn't slip. I've used it on carpet, wood flooring and decking. It's a good thickness and yes there is a tiny smell at first but it soon wears off. I use it for HiiTand it's been great for that. However, I haven't given it 5 stars because 3 months on, I have actually worn a hole in it from doing HiiT, in particular mountain climbers. It started wearing through at that pressure point about a month in and after a session I would start to find little black bits of rubber on my carpet. I used it yesterday and at the end of my session, I had actually gone through the rubber completely. I do HiiT though 5 times a week so it does get some bashing. If you are using it for less intense exercise or under a machine then it will be brilliant. And I would buy it again, but I shall just have to accept that I will need to replace it every 3 months.

York Large Equipment Mat is made of durable rubber and is ideal solution to lay under heavier equipment in order to protect flooring and to provide a solid base for multi gyms and similar type equipment. I have hardwood floors and went without mats underneath my cardio machines in my home gym for years. However, because my gym is on the second floor there was a lot of "boom, boom, boom" when using the treadmill for anyone downstairs - opposite The mat eliminated vibration and impact, it not only protects the machine and my joints better (because my knees don't absorb the shock so much now that it's distributed somewhat to the mat), but it decreases sound. However, if you have carpet on your floors this also protects your machines from having close contact with carpet fibers which can lodge in the mechanisms and decrease oiled surfaces creating wear on the machines. (Geeky I know but true)... Better yet, it cleans easily and unlike other mats I looked at it does fold to fit the size you need. Works well for me and I have it under the heaviest Spin bikeI think I've ever encountered in my life *Also made by York*...and it's holding up well.

This is the second mat I’ve bought and I now have the side by side in my home gym. The thick mat provides excellent cushioning and support during workouts. Its durability ensures long-term use, and the non-slip surface adds stability to various poses. The extra thickness is particularly beneficial for joint comfort. Overall, a reliable choice for a comfortable and effective yoga or gym/stretching.

The mat is what I was hoping for. It's dense enough to comfortably kneel on but thin enough to still maintain a hard surface grip that you wouldn't get from a thick yoga mat. It does mark with pressure but the marks go away even with kettlebells and heavy equipment. The edges are rounded in to prevent kick-ins/tripping and within a day it flattens out nicely similar to what you see in a real gym. The mat is sprayed with light oil (probably castor or mineral) to cover up the initial odour of the rubber, but by the time the oil wears out the odour underneath would have gone away — the mat does NOT have an odour unless you press your nose directly on it. At £25 it's a pretty good buy as it is similar to the £75 mats that you would find in a professional gym.

Very good mat for use at home Good size and seems very durable. If you stand on it or place weights on the mat the ident soon disappears leaving it looking very good in appearance Happy to recommend this mat for home use.

Ich habe auf der Matte ein Laufband stehen. Da ich das Band bisher noch nicht wieder bewegt habe kann ich nicht sagen, ob sich Druckstellen wieder rückbilden oder nicht. Nach dem Auspacken der Matte habe ich sie gleich ausgerollt. Die Matte "legte sich sofort glatt" und schlug keinerlei Wellen. Das Material der Matte macht einen guten Eindruck und einen störenden Geruch konnte ich nicht feststellen. Ich bin mit diesem Teil absolut zufrieden.

Ottima ergonomia e materiale di alta qualità, l'ho trovato perfetto per l'allenamento in casa e in palestra. si adatta bene ad ogni tipo di superficie e non scivola. Pienamente soddisfatto. appena arriva bisogna aprirlo e l'odore di nuovo andrà via in pochi giorni.

De bonne qualité mais finalement trop mou pour supporter un vélo elliptique semi professionnel. Les pieds marquent mon sol en parquet tout de même à travers ce tapis.
