Shoulderpod S1 - Professional smartphone rig, tripod mount and filmmaker grip for shooting photo and video with any iPhone or Android phone

I'm using this grip with my iPhone 6 Plus and the DXO One camera. It works like an absolute dream! Once you've clamped it at the centre of gravity, it completely transforms the handling of the iPhone 6 Plus and the remarkable DXO One into a beautiful, ergonomic camera. There is nothing I don't like about the S1 grip. It's well made, has a great weight to add a bit of extra stability; and the wrist strap gives peace of mind and a good grip. If attached at the centre of gravity, it also makes it very easy to simply and securely put the iPhone 6 Plus DXO One combination down - without faffing about - because it stands securely on the screw-side with the handle pointing up - ready to be picked up again quickly and securely. This is a great product which for me has truly sealed the iPhone 6 Plus DXO One combination.

So good, I've now got two of these - this is very useful product, especially when you're worried about you smartphone slipping out your hands when taking pictures or taking video shots.... I used my one set to the middle of the phone when taking videos.... the phone I'm using most is the iPhone 7 Plus with a stereo mic going into the lightning port.... this product allows me to keep my video footage very steady, and my fingers away from the stereo mic....and with nothing concerns about all of this slipping out of my hands....!!!! I also can use a tripod quick release plate screwed into the base of the handle.....so, I can go from hand held to panning shots in the tripod very quickly and easily.....and have the same quick release on my wheeled dolly and slider....... so, yes, a very versatile, well built and solid product and when used just for street stuff it's perfect....I can be ready to shoot in less then a minute, with this product in my pocket. A huge thumbs up.

Works well. Straightforward to use. Only be aware that if it is too tight the top grip starts to bend slightly. Seems sturdily built but for me I’d prefer a slightly stronger version - maybe made of aluminium. Cannot fault it yet as I use it very little and so far it has worked well with my iOhone 6s Plus. Nice and lightweight.

Absolutely first rate piece of equipment that I cannot rate highly enough. A (demanding, not to say pernickety!) DSLR Photographer for many years, this tool makes for simplicity itself - transforming iPhone photography almost unimaginably. I have mine permanently attached to a Manfrotto tripod plate - so always ready for tripod use, but still more usefully, this allows for horizontal standing of the phone almost anywhere, easily. Coupled with an inexpensive Bluetooth shutter button and iOS ProCamera (which brilliantly allows the range of aspect ratio choices) I'm making stunning images. Use one of these once and you'll be hooked. Seriously great value for my money. Highly recommended.

It’s okay. The clamp itself feels very plastic and rather loose, the tolerances on the two halves are big and it tends to flap about as you turn the also very cheap feeling finger grip at the top. Lacks a thread on the side for portrait orientation and just feels rather light and un-sturdy. The best made part of it is the weight at the bottom which is actually made from something like brass and has a bit of heft to it. The strap is rather uncomfortable nylon or something similar and you’ll want to replace it with cloth or leather if you intend to use this much. I think it’ll hold your phone well enough, just don’t for a minute think that it’s a high quality bit of equipment.

The grip is exactly what I wanted, is sturdy and does the job. Quality materials used in its construction give it the required heft and sturdiness, no gimmicks, it doesn't try to be anything more than it is, I am very satisfied with my purchase and value for money.

This feels like a really solidly made item. It really makes quite a difference when shooting video. It adds stability, even on its own, and if you screw a small tripod or monopod to the bottom it acts almost like a steady cam. The fit is really good on an iPhone 8+, I don't feel that it is going to fall out. I particularly like the wrist strap which makes it feel really secure in my hand. Very easy to put in a pocket or loop the strap to a belt. I liked it so much I told my friend to get one for her iPhone X!

This is a great gadget for attaching my iPhone to a tripod, and helps considerably at steadying the phone for video. But the screw on handle is too short. I reckon it needs to be twice as long as it is, and I've got small hands! I use a table top tripod folded up instead/as well as which works really well. Overall a great product which I would recomend, jut be aware you may need an extension.

Ich benutze den Shoulderpod S1 für mein iPhone 5S hauptsächlich um Videos zu drehen. Mich hat vorher immer genervt, dass das horizontale Filmen sehr umständlich war, da man das iPhone in dieser Position einfach nicht so gut greifen konnte und man das Gefühl hatte, dass es einem jede Sekunde aus der Hand fallen könnte. Mit dem S1 wollte ich diesem Problem vorbeugen. Und glücklicherweise habe ich die richtige Wahl getroffen, auch dank der guten Rezensionen hier, auf YouTube und auch auf Amazon.com. Die Halterung besteht aus Plastik und Aluminium. Letzteres verursacht doch ein für diese Größe beachtliches Gewicht, was aber letztendlich beim Filmen überhaupt nicht stört. Trotzdem war ich vom Gewicht ein wenig überrascht als ich die Halterung ausgepackt habe, vor allem positiv, da ein ordentliches Gewicht einem das Gefühl von robuster Qualität gibt. Laut dem Hersteller ist die Handgelenkschlaufe aus Echtleder, ebenfalls ein Pluspunkt zur Verarbeitung. Das Einsetzen des iPhones ist wirklich einfach und schnell gemacht. Man sollte ein wenig aufpassen, dass man nicht zu viel Druck auf die Klemme ausübt, da sonst das Gerät beschädigt werden kann (s. dazu auch die Nutzungsempfehlungen des Herstellers, die der Lieferung beiliegen). Die Klemme ist höhenverstellbar, sodass so gut wie jedes Smartphone eingebaut werden kann. Die Gummimulden halten das Gerät sicher an Ort und Stelle ohne es irgendwie zu zerkratzen. Mit einer Schraube auf der Oberseite der Halterung befestigt man sein Gerät und dann kann es auch schon losgehen mit dem Filmen/Fotos machen. Durch den Handgriff und der Handgelenkschlaufe liegt die Halterung mit dem eingebauten Smartphone wirklich gut in der Hand und man hat so viel mehr Bewegungs- und Handlungsfreiraum. Man muss sich nun keine Sorgen mehr machen, dass einem das Telefon aus der Hand fallen könnte. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist dass durch den festeren Griff die Bilder und Videos allgemein viel ruhiger, stabiler und ruckelfreier werden. Man hat automatisch mehr Kontrolle, jetzt wo man sich nicht mehr ums ordentliche Halten kümmern muss. Fazit: Für Hobby-Filmer wie mich ist diese Halterung eine optimale Anschaffung. Es ist robust verarbeitet und tut genau das, was es soll: das Smartphone sicher an Ort und Stelle halten, sodass man sich als Filmer aufs Wesentliche konzentrieren kann.

Ce n'est pas le seul grip du marché et certainement pas le moins cher, pourtant, avoir essayé deux précédents grips, c'est clairement celui que je préfère. La finition des accessoires est exemplaire (jusqu'à la boîte, vraiment soignée) ; tout inspire confiance, solidité et qualité. Le grip peut être utilisé aussi bien sur des barres à selfie que sur des trépieds et n'abîme pas le smartphone. Le réglage se fait en dévissant une molette, agréable au toucher et assez précise. La petite poignée est très utile pour faire des plans à la main, sans trop s'encombrer, tout en offrant une nette amélioration en terme de stabilité (le gros problème des smartphones en règle générale). Vraiment très satisfait par ce produit, utilisé par bon nombre de journalistes et amateurs de vidéo sur smartphone, et que je recommande sans hésitation à mon tour.

Excellent! Good grip and works well with iPhone 5 and 6. Finally a better grip for filming and the right tool to take good photo even selfie with a larger angle!

Got delivered a day before than the actual date. Impressive Product. The quality of the mount is great with a brilliant grip... a bit heavy but feel like a professional shooter when mounted. The grip is awesome and the pod holds the phone intact that you can be care free from the phone falling off. I was so surprised to see the box at first that would this little tiny thing be able to really do its job.. as the box itself was so small.. when assembled all the stuff and took that in hands .. it does work brilliant. Built quality is good. Only the below attachment is solid metal which makes the entire pod look and feel heavy.. Photos and videos does get some stabilisation to an extent. Very convinent to use and handy can easily carry it anywhere with you. Best thing is you can fix the pod on any tripod as well I definitely recommend this for road trips or even blogging or any small occasions like birthday parties and or any vacation if you don't want to carry your huge tripods.. adding some wide angle lens to your phone and with this pod attached your good to go.. Only thing is .. it's too pricy just because the product is not easily available in Indian market and only listed on Amazon.in for we Indians. Thanks to sellers like Cambium iBhejo Cart2India NewYork they make it available for us to buy them on this one and only Amazon platform.. thank you Amazon! Amazon is the only place where you can get some imported goods easily available but ofcourse pricy and almost a year after it's released in forgien countries yet useful... cause Indian Market lack selling such products. Giving 5 starts for the product else for its price only 3 star... double the price than US and UK Amazon. ☹️️
