Oregon Protect chainsaw Safety Helmet with Protective Ear Muff and Mesh Visor

I bought this Oregon Protect chainsaw safety helmet for my son, and I’m genuinely impressed with the quality and protection it offers. First of all, the build feels solid and well-designed. The helmet itself is sturdy without being overly heavy, which makes it comfortable to wear for longer periods. The adjustable headband is a great feature—it allowed my son to get a secure, snug fit easily. The ear defenders are very effective. He mentioned they significantly reduce the noise from the chainsaw without completely blocking out important surrounding sounds, which is exactly what you want for safety. The face visor is another highlight—it’s clear, durable, and provides excellent protection from flying debris while still maintaining good visibility. What I really like is that everything is integrated into one unit—helmet, ear protection, and face shield—so there’s no need to juggle separate pieces of gear. Of the dozens even hundreds of items I have bought off Amazon over the years this is by the far most remarkable I wish there were more than 5 stars. How is this safety helmet made at this price ???. Simple to put together, a little extra pressure need for the clips, but no instructions required, just a little common sense. My hat size is 7 7/8 inch, yes I'm a big chap and was reluctant to buy as I thought it would be too small. Without any adjustment fitted me perfectly out of the box and comfortably, with the interior bands covered in 'cloth'. It is very well made, and is held in place on the head by the pressure of the ear defenders that work wonderfully and far superior to the little yellow ear plugs I normally use. Time will tell if it us durable but experience to date suggests it will last for some time. I bought a new chain saw recently and considered ditching the safety goggles and ear plugs (I'm a domestic user with wood burner). Wished I bought one of these years ago, I cannot recommend this product enough, well done Oregon.

Having used this helmet on a regular basis over the past 14 months I think that this piece of equipment is good and fit for its intended purpose. However the assembly instructions are shocking! As an experienced person I spent over an hour following the instructions and getting nowhere. I ditched the instructions and did it myself in under 15 mins. In use the ear defenders are very good (cutting out noise from my petrol powered chipper and power washer) allowing me to work for longer periods. The mesh visor is very sturdy and swings up and down with no sticking or binding. The foam padding on the headband is ok and does its job. In the height of summer you will start to sweat, but I think that this would be the case with whatever you are wearing. Overall, ear and eye / face protection is good, head protection is good and it is lightweight when wearing. Would be 5 stars apart from the appalling assembly instructions. Will buy again as I now know how to put it together. Good price, good spec.

Seems pretty good. Much better than having loads of debris falling on me. The mesh face guard is very good. Comfortable to wear with an adjustable head band to keep it a snug fit. Ear defenders are very good and also comfortable. For the money it isn't worth working on hedges and trees without it.

Don't understand the negative comments saying it is hard to put together, it's simple. If you can't put this simple together you should think twice about using a chainsaw that this is intended for.

Great price point and a great item covers my head size 7 3/4 very large and fits my wife’s too she has a lot smaller head. The visor is great mesh and the head phones do work and cut out a lot of noise.
